Iv been wondering how well it holds up as well!  Iv asked what it would cost get a full Cerakote job done and I believe it was right around the $225-250 mark for a whole pistol a few months back.

I've had one (frame) cerakoted through CGW and, as Earl noted, that one was sent out. Since they moved and have some new 'toys', some specific aspects of 'custom finishing' may be done in house now...not sure. Give 'em a call or shoot 'em an email.....they're more than happy to talk with you about it. If a certain finishing did not hold up well, I really don't think they'd use it....or, if you insisted, they'd tell you straight up what to expect (if they'd even agree to go ahead with it).

If i remember correctly mine was around $200 for the refinish. The only place mine has been exposed to ware is the frame and slide  rails from shooting, i do not carry it or treat it roughly. I have seen allot of great refinishes come out of CGW, Master blue, Hard Chrome and many different colors of what i think is cerakote. As has been mentioned above, to my knowledge CGW dose not do refinish work in house. They send the work out to a different refinish shop depending on the type of refinish.

I had my SP-01 Tac done in Tungsten.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

We have slowly identified the best respective finishers.

Cerakote is very popular and we have an agreement not to list the shop we use.

Hard Chrome and Master Blue are done by someone that only does work for a select few companies and does not take in any work directly from any customer.  We are extremely fortunate to be one of those companies.

We use a few other finishers that do specialty work and that do take work directly from customers, but only when a special finish request (per the customer) is made.  In these cases we charge what the customer would have paid if sent in directly.

Our job is to inspect each job and either accept or reject the work (we reject about 10 - 15% of what we receive) and take the time to make certain it goes back together with no flaws or functional issues.

Am I seeing this right and you had the mag coated as well? (Nice touch!) If so, curious as to how it wears on the mag and any issues.

^^Indeed, i was really after matching base plates but as an experiment i requested that the exterior of factory magazines that came with the pistol be refinished in the same color as the pistol. They have run like any of the other factory CZ or Mec-gar after market CZ magazines that i use. No difference in function that i have picked up on. The wear on them is a bit less detectable due to the color. Factory blued mags generally wear to reveal sliver areas so the contrast is easier to see.

Joel, I?ve had satin hard chrome finish applied to my PCR when I sent it to CGW for a pro kit installation. I am completely satisfied w/ the finish as well as the other work they did.

Submit your work to CGW in confidence, you won?t be sorry

Yup, same thing happened to me. I would avoid looking at any hard chromed or master blue refinished CZs. The call is extra strong with them.  ;D

Canik uses cerakote on their slides, and mine has held up very well. It seems just as durable as whatever CZ or Beretta use.
