Recently I decided I would buy a TriStar P-120 and see how it stacked up to my CZ's. I was very interested and heard nothing but good things about them. I am a giant CZ fan so I was a bit skeptical, but I do own a few Tangfolio's that I am very happy with and thought for $375 there really is nothing to loose. I bought it and it was accurate and felt very good in my hand. The trigger was harsh and very heavy but it was a shooter. The fit and Finish were very nice and it came with 2 19 round mags. What could be better?
Well I have a few CZ's and they have had trigger upgrades by CZ-USA gunsmiths or have been "Cajunized" as the phrase goes. So to have a gun that breaks in double action past the 11# max on my trigger pull tool was just not going to work. the SA was 6#. Long story short after much research and the fact that I wanted it improved quickly I found a guy

What was best for me....i called him one day sent him my gun the next and 8 days later had it back completed.
The gun on the left is my SP-01 worked on by the CZ-USA gunsmith the Green handled 75 is the cajunized gun and the one on the right is my new gun with CJ Mavens villain series trigger. now 7.5# DA and 3.1# SA. Dry fire was a dream come true for me on the improvement. But I had to put bullets down range. That was the test. I took all 3 to the range so I wasn't just comparing it to its old self I was comparing it to a couple pretty awesome guns. I am very happy to report the TriStar will be one of my serious competition guns now. It is so nice, the trigger is equal either of the others in DA and in SA it is a dream to shoot and reset is short and audible. I love it.
I recommend CJ Maven to anyone thinking about a trigger job on either their CZ or clone. Take it from me you will be happy.
I am sending the SP-01 to CJ next week for Cerekoting because the old girl is showing some serious wear. I will post b4 and after pics later. I am very happy to report CJ does excellent work comparable to my other 2 very awesome guns, it's pretty cool to now have these 3 guns to choose from.
