Player66--Today I decided to go shoot my own P-10F just to see if it was as good as I remember from the last time I shot it, which was 6 weeks ago. Today I was at an outdoor range sharing the bay with two other gentlemen so I had to wait to shoot it at 22 yards after they had finished at 7/15 yards. This target is the third 20 shot target, so rounds 41-60, I believe. At 22 yards, standing single hand in a gusty crosswind, sunny, warm, but with my inexpensive 9mm 115 FMJ ammo, since I knew I just needed some trigger time before using my "good" ammo. This pistol has a Holosun 507C red dot mounted on a CZCustom OR adapter plate. It is an excellent setup for me for bullseye matches, if I ever get to compete again.
There are only a few pistols that I can shoot this well after just a few rounds after not shooting them for weeks. I warmed up at 15 and 7 yards with the other shooters, and this is my first attempt at 22 yards standing single hand. I am very happy with this result, with around half the shots in the 10 ring and only 1 really bad shot, where I just lost concentration, probably second guessing the wind or rushing the shot. Shooting the very similar P-10C on Tuesday probably helped, come to think of it.
I should be able to score 95 average for timed fire with this pistol at 25 yards with just a couple of more range visits. I never thought I would ever like a striker fired pistol, but this one is such a good match for me ergonomically and trigger feel-wise that I am getting to where I prefer it over my P-09. Both are excellent, in my opinion, for my needs, which is single hand standing at 25 and 50 yards.
