Hello All,
I converted an SP01 [manual safety] to SAO and noticed that it now has two resets.
- The first is a very faint, but clear, click at around 1-2mm of release/reset. gently squeeze and the hammer drops again.
- However, if I let the trigger out a little bit farther, there is a louder click from resetting.
- I don't know the distance, but remember it being about 3 times as far out as the first reset.
I have only hand cycled it, and dry fired [with o-rings].
The pistol has a Cajun Gun Works full pro-package in it. I decided I still couldn't live with the DA length of pull, so I then converted it to SAO with a new SA trigger.
From all of the reading, I kept seeing people say to remove the disconnector when making it SAO, but others stating that there is no need to remove the disconnector- it simply ceases to be relevant.
- I choose to leave it in until I can fire the gun and see how I am liking it. I may go back to the DA/SA trigger, and this is one less part to swap around.
- I don't know if having the disconnector in is the reason for the second reset, but I wanted to identify that the Disco was still there, to help others problem solve and explain what it going on.
I know the CGW system creates a shorter reset, but I didn't know why I am getting two resets. Can anyone help me figure this out?
