Tried the upgraded p07 out Saturday. Like the sa trigger more. Like the single dot  sight picture better as well with the new sights.
Not shooting any better, but a coach who has worked with me before verified it was me and not the pistol.

Not sure if this helps, but my first trip to the range with my P07 was pretty disappointing too. I was having serious issues with trigger control that I wasn't noticing during dry fire.  Some shots would be dead on, especially if I focused, but some shots even in SA were pulling low and/or left.  I bought one of those laser 9mm cartridge trainers and sure enough I was all over the place. What I found was that the way my hand was positioned on the pistol (and some bad habits I'm sure) were causing me to torque the pistol at the end of the trigger pull.

Now typically I shoot a P10C with the small backstrap or a Gen 4 19 stock, and that's what feels more comfortable in my hand.  The small backstrap on the P07 felt good in hand, but when I replaced the small backstrap for the medium one, I wasn't pulling the shots while using the laser trainer.  I'll have to get to the range next week to confirm, but my dry fire looks a lot better.

have not thought about those laser targeting things. With my small hands, seems counter intuitive to change out backstraps from the small installed one to anything else (:

Greetings
My P07 was pretty rough OOB, but I figured it would need some break in time.  At 500 rds it had smoothed out a bit, but hit a plateau and by 1000 rds hadn't really changed much more. The videos I found here gave me enough confidence to attempt a teardown.
I disassembled it and polished the innards as described here on the forum and managed to get it all back together again !!!  I found a piece of brass rod that matched the trigger pin exactly and made a few slave pins. Definitely a must !!  Another big help was finding some dowel  stock matching the main spring plug, to help in it's removal. I drilled a blind hole in my bench for the dowel. and just pressed the pistol down on the bench to relieve pressure on the pin.
After polishing the necessary surfaces, and relieving a bit of pressure on the trigger bar spring, I was amazed at the improvement at the range.  I've decided to forego all the parts I was thinking of replacing and use those funds toward a new range toy for the wife !

I would get the spring kit from CGW or at least change the hammer spring to 15lb or at least 18lb.

Thanks a million for those suggestions !  I've been pretty attentive to all the posts for improving this pistol, and am really grateful I've found this forum. What a unique and great bunch of folk we have here . I may ultimately try some further improvements, but am quite satisfied with the results achieved for now. Like I've mentioned, I'm no spring chicken, have noticed a little unsteadiness starting to creep into the equation, and really don't mind a little bit of trigger resistance.
