My thoughts were the Shadowline meant the pistol had an aluminum frame. Guess not.

Only the Compact Shadowline has an aluminum frame

I’m really thinking this may be my next purchase. Does this have anything more then a tactical model??

Thank you, that clears it up. A Shadow with popular mods installed by CZ. I previously thought the Shadowline was a lower end Shadow.

What parts are different??

What parts are different??

Different hammer; 85C trigger; thin aluminum grips; thin safety; no FPB; [plus two nickel-plated 17 round mags}

I have a 75 Shadow line - the trigger is really very nice. It's an excellent pistol straight from the box.

I have one of these, I actually wanted a Shadowline compact from the last batch earlier this spring, but, missed that boat by a week or so.. So, I ordered one of these instead..It did'nt dissapoint. I changed the grips to some LOK full checkered palm swell grips, the aluminium grips that come with it look cool, but feel like you're gripping a 2x4, flat and blocky feeling, the LOKs fixed that. The very first time I took it out I could easily tear the bull out at 10yds, the sights needed no adjustment. You don't see these pistols very often and from what I can find out,CZ dosen't import very many, mine is marked as being made in 2016,  so, it sat around for awhile. What's interesting is the CZ rep was in my LGS,  one time, and I showed this to him, and he was completely unaware that CZ made these.. In fact he tried to tell me that it was a CZC custom gun, and not a production gun.

Does anyone know the width of the shadowline hammer? Is it the standard shadow fat width or the skinny 75b style?

I have one of the CZ 75 Shadowline Compacts and the hammer measures .314 inches in width. Beautiful gun.

Still looking for what seems like forever for one of these to show up on an auction site. A rare one

Wow, this is an old thread.  It brings up unpleasant memories of how I screwed up.

I purchased the Shadow Line compact and absolutely love it. I remember thinking about getting the Shadow Line SP-01 and the Shadow Line CZ 75 to go along with the Shadow Line compact in order to complete the entire Shadow Line collection, but didn't. There were other firearms that I was more interested in at the time so I only purchased the one that I was my favorite and  never acted on the other two versions.

Now, looking back I realize that I should have gone ahead and picked up the other two versions.  It's not that the Shadow Line is the ultimate CZ, but it is a particularly appealing model and then there is that limited production thing that appeals to me.

I’ve been lusting and wanting this model for years. What would be the closest pistol that CZ makes now that is like the 91168?

I'm not completely up with all of CZs current models they change so often, but I suppose you could take a CZ 75 Compact, add some upgraded internal parts and come up with something close, but then you would not have the full length dust cover, nor the aluminum frame, nor the aluminum grips.

There is the CZ 75 SP01 Shadow which would be fairly close, but is the full size version and it has a steel frame.

Or you could just hope that a used Shadowline compact shows up for sale, and in the meantime buy the latest and greatest version, the CZ Shadow 2 Compact. In my opinion, that is the modern day version of the Shadowline.  It has pretty much identical features of the Shadowline, but has the upgraded Shadow 2 style frame and an optic cut. You can't go wrong with the S2C IMO.

Curious to know if the slide-to-frame fit is a bit tighter than normal.  Kinda like the Orange series

I have seen sp01 shadows in excellent condition sell for dirt cheap on various forum classifieds. I don't live in a free state,so I could not buy.
Put a cajun race hammer and SA trigger to max it out beyond shadowline.

Even online gun stores sell them cheap. Do the research!
CZ 85 Combat, NRA Lifer.
