First, thanks to the community here for the help in deciding what my new toy should be. I found my rifle at Atlantic Firearms and it ended up costing me within $100 of the rifle I sold to finance it. I took it out yesterday for the first time and am very happy with it. Years ago I had a Norinco underfolder and later picked up a Chinese SKS, which have been my only exposure to 7.62x39 rifles. The VZ is much nicer to shoot and the build quality is excellent. The only problem I'm having is that I feel like I should do something to it to make it mine - I thought about an ergo grip but the one on there is really pretty comfortable. I like the look of the beaver barf furniture but I'm thinking it would add weight and it's really just for looks. Maybe a folding stock, but the one on it now works really well. Maybe a muzzle brake/flash suppressor, but it shoots fine without one and the muzzle nut does look pretty cool. I'd go for a bayonet right now if they came with black scales, but maybe the beaver barf wouldn't look too dumb. You see my problem. Only thing about it that concerned me in shooting it is that the front handguard did get really hot. Not a bad problem really. So all I really need to get is additional magazines. And a lot more ammo. Any other suggestions?
