This is just MHO......The Viper has it's place, especially on a very narrow slide sub-compact. But when you add up the cost of the rear iron, milling for it, and then drilling access holes.........I personally think the Venom with it's vertical markings is a more
cost-effective solution for a compact or full-size CZ-75, and I prefer the larger 'window' on the Venom too. There are also proponents of having your 'rear' BUIS in front of your optic. If you can get the Venom on sale; with Primary milling and Cerakoting, and a Dawson front FO......you can end up with a very solid and reliable milled-in RDS set-up with BUIS for not much over $400. Just Say'in
However, on my Full-size SP-01 Tac I went with the DPpro and 'optional' adjustable rear iron.. It's big, and built like a tank. What the US Military tested and selected for their M-17 pistols. But I spent quite a bit more $$. Maybe too big for a
compact EDC.
As electronics change and improve every year; I do like the option of CZ Custom's interchangeable mounting plates. (I think CGW has 'em too). As much as I like what I have now, who knows in a couple years what will be the best.
