Looking for recommendations
« on: October 17, 2019, 08:08:58 AM »
I’m looking at picking up a cz as my next firearm. I’m down between the p10c, p07, and the p01. I know the first 2 are polymer and the last being an alloy framed. I’m not sure where to put this thread and figured since 2 out of my 3 choices are polymer I’d throw it in here. I like the idea of all 3, I know ones different being a striker. Just trying to get an idea what you guys like and would choose and for what reasons?

I have both the p10 and p07. Both excellent firearms and both have a specific purpose. I carry my p07 more often, but only because I prefer DA/SA.

I'm trying to make the same decision and pretty much talk myself in circles.  My thought of the moment is P01 because of the alloy frame and extra peace of mind that comes with having a hammer fired pistol.  Check back with me in a few minutes and I'll tell you something different.  One solution is to get all three but my bank accounts is begs to disagree.

The best  (and the only for me) way is to rent and shoot. All 3 pistols are excellent choice, and without shooting them it impossible to make a good decision.

In my case - I chose Walther PPQ over P10C, (P10C didn't feel good in my hand) and after 6 months ended up with P-01 Omega.

I will only carry hammer fired stuff, so I don’t even consider the P-10.

I have both a P-01 and P-07.
I shoot the P-01 better than the P-07, but have had it longer - so it’s probably more of a familiarity thing.  I carry both, just not at the same time.  If I could only have one of them?  P-01.  But really love the P-07 too!

I do not have a P-07
I love my P-01.

I always recommend that gun to anyone even when it s not originally one of the choices because I am so happy with mine.
Stay out of your head too much and let what makes sense to you win.
don't talk your self out of doing what you want because someone else did.

I bet you know which one you really want, get that one.

Firearmjunky22, if ya can either find someone nearby who has them or, a shop that will rent all of them to you, give ‘em an equal chance and shoot as much as possible. It’s the only real way for you to make a fair decision.

I’ve HAD a P-01 and a pair of P-10 C’s and found that for me, when side-by-side I shot/shoot my P-07 better, so the others found new homes. Just my personal preference between those three.

After a lot of time online and many phone calls, I found rentals for all the pistols I wanted to try out.  Travelled 125 miles to try the P07 and P09. After all the research, the decision was 90% driven by how the pistol felt in my hand. Decided on the 07 even though I grouped slightly better with the 09. Preference #3 would have been an HK P30.
Be patient. The right one will tell you what you need to know. All the articles and videos are just confusing after a while !

I’ve searched and searched and the only range I’ve found in my state within 3 hours of me has a couple glocks, shields, and a couple sigs to try out. NY doesn’t seem to have many rental ranges. I really am undecided.

Ask a friend if you can shoot one of their pistols....or go to one of the ranges you found....and shoot something.
Even if no one has a CZ you can
narrow it down to polymer or metal
striker or hammer

then it will get a lot easier you really cant make a bad decision or a wrong decision, all 3 are very good guns.
Like I said before stay out of your head so much and don't worry about making the wrong decision, you wont

I currently have a gen 4 Glock 30. I like the firearm but want a 9mm counterpart. Cz draws me in because I want something different. Not for any real reason other than just because. Everyone raves about them and I want to give one a try. My main reason for a da/sa option is mainly because I want to get more proficient across multiple platforms and types.

If you want something different from Glock, go with P-01 Omega.
You will get different frame, different action. And "Omega" is less complicated, easy to maintain as Glock, so you won't be surprised after detail break down.

The P10 points differently for me while the 01 and 07 are easy for me to shoot back to back. I would definitely try to at least hold them all. My choice would be the P-01, closely followed by the P-07 with the P10C bringing up the rear. I much prefer hammer over striker.

My CZ are both hammer P-09 SP-01 Tac . For striker I went with Glock because parts and ease of changing parts . I have hundreds of rounds thru it no bobbles . Bought a G 34 gen 4 then got a G17 mos slide put on a Vortex Venom works good .  In the end get what works for you
