Standard 75B's in competition?

Shadow 2 and SP-01 variants seem to be all the rage for pistol competitors lately. But out of curiosity, has anyone here run a standard 75B variant in competition? I'm sure it's possible with the still heavy weight and the right modifications.

So aside from the grips and sights, what else did you do to your 75 to make it competition ready?

I shot a 75 Shadow in competition for a bit, but relied more on the SP-01 Shadow and Shadow 2 as my primary comp guns.  IMO the full length dust covers were better for gun games, but the short dust cover 75 Shadow served me well. 

CZC slicked up the trigger, short reset, comp hammer, and polished internals.  I put in lighter springs and sights that I like.

Dawson FO front sight, CZC old style 85 combat trigger, CZC trigger return spring, CZC Stainless mag brake, CGW Adjustable Sear, CGW Stainless Steel Ring Hammer, CGW Type 2 Disconnector, CGW 75b extended firing pin, CGW Reduced Firing Pin Spring, CGW Firing Pin Retaining Pin, CGW firing pin lifter, CGW 13# Hammer Spring, CGW 11# Recoil Spring, LOK Bogey Palmswell Grips.

There was also a bit of polishing and fitting.

I shot 75B SAO conversion in limited minor a couple years ago. I'm in the process of upgrading it to run open major. Think of it as open poors. Also interested in anyone that has ran the 75B in open.

2 more chains, I'm guessing you shot that in production?

Those rubber bases are a necessity.  I didn't know about them until I got the p01.  Bought 3 instantly for my 75 B Omega.

Honestly if I were to dabble in competitive shooting, I'd probably go in with a 75B or 75B Omega (with decockers) since I'd rather dip my toes with something affordable yet still appropriate. If it becomes something I got more into, I'd invest into a Shadow 2 or something!

They are for competitions where you have to perform reloads on the clock.  (See what the floor will do to your stamped steel basepads when they are dropped)

I have bent the mag baseplate on my Mecgar 75B mag from accidentally dropping it on a concrete floor. So yeah, I get what you mean.

I use these pre-b's in competition. I prefer the short dust cover and round trigger guard.
