I bought the 'mfg CZ' factory (sic) magazines a couple of times before I wised up. CZ 82/83 Surplus with the crossed swords/canons (can't remember which it is ) OR genuine CZ-USA Magazines are the only sure way to go.
The 'mfg CZ' mags would kind of work, more or less at times. I would never use them for ANY kind of critical duty work, but they were useful as less expensive extra magazines when shooting at the range. They often needed some messaging with a nylon hammer to get them to fit, rarely locked back on the last round, and regularly provided good practice clearing jams and mis-feeds. Every once in a while they would work surprisingly well, but that was definitely the exception.
I had about a dozen and a half of the 'mfg CZ' over the years - I am pretty sure they are all gone now. I used them as a second 'aftermarket' mag (with full disclosure) to make the package a bit more attractive when selling off a CZ 82 or CZ 83.
