The X Series triggers are great. Here is my X-Compact with the Wilson Combat grip module. This smokes the CZ PCR all day long.

Having owned several Sig X-series over the years, I would say their out-of-the-box triggers are
just ok, certainly not "great." The only one I have handed (and still own) that I would say is "quite good" is the X-Carry Legion I bought last year, which has a trigger that is quite a bit better than any standard X-series I've handled. I would say the X-series triggers could only be considered "great" in comparison to most other striker triggers, which tend to be mushy and/or gritty and leave a lot to be desired. So yes,
for a striker gun, the X-series triggers are not bad.
Total 'apples and oranges' comparison to a good hammer-fired trigger though, in my opinion. And in contrast to your experience in particular, my PCR with some inexpensive CGW parts swapped in and a little polishing, will blow the doors off any standard X-series trigger I've ever touched.
But you've clearly already made up your mind and you should enjoy your new pistol.
