TS2 racing green loads
« on: October 10, 2022, 07:12:59 AM »
I’d be interested to hear what anyone is loading for these pistols. I’ve come to stick with copper plated since I’ve switched from shooting glocks to the CZ. It seems a little picky compared to the polymer wonder.

Welcome to the world of CZ.

The core group here experimented with plated several years back. (The board was at one time supported by Berry Mfg and they handed out a lot of samples.) But when that was over we all pretty much moved on to jacketed bullets by Precision Delta, Zero and Rocky Mountain Reloading (RMR). Most of the bullets by these 3 makers will fit the CZ chamber, are available in bulk (3000+), and deliver excellent accuracy.

The departure from plated was right about the time that Hi-Tek coatings were introduced for lead, and the price difference pretty much spelled the end of fooling with plated. The main supplier for many became Missouri Bullet Co (MBC) and ACME. Both had really good coating quality and fast delivery on bulk volumes. Since CZ sometimes have issues with 147gr, ACME was also offering a 135gr which 'filled the bill' for a "heavy bullet". Since that time, RMR has also introduced a jacketed 135gr (which I have not tried).

> Within the Stickies is a file called the Reloading Directory. At the bottom of that page are threads on powder testing, and you will see many of the bullets mentioned here in those tests.

> There is also a long discussion on plated vs jacketed, here:

Hope this helps.

So, tried some Xtream 124 rn plated. 4.2 gr of titegroup, 1.140 OAL. They seem to work well.
Loaded up some precision delta 124 jhp’s, 4.3 TG, 1.135 OAL, they shoot well also.
It seems they like to be pushed a little bit, probb not going to get away with light loads.

I don't have a manual nearby, but I seem to remember that 4.2gr is 'at' or 'over' Max Load.
Did you chrono these rounds ?

Manufacturer    Powder       Bullet Diam.    C.O.L    Grs.    Vel. (ft/s)    Pressure       Grs.    Vel. (ft/s)    Pressure

I haven’t choreographed these rounds, at 4.2 they were an average of 1183 fps from a Glock 17L

A friend of mine and I are going to chrono a bunch of rounds the end of this week.

And has your chamber been reamed ?
I ask because the longest round that will fit my chamber is around 1.110".
