;)NeverMind: The new spring is Finally in place, with the 'cap' securing it: this was Mein Kampf (my struggle-mostly just physical + coordinating).

I was unable to correctly follow the procedures described up above, in the VZ-58 "Recoil Spring Sticky".
However---At the bottom is the Link
the “Drink Straw” technique mentioned in the link (below) finally worked. The correct diameter straw is pushed around, to totally surround/ 'sheath' the Spring Retaining 'Wire', all the to the bottom of the Wire, which then remains Fully- Extended from the Inner Rod guide.
Pushing the Recoil spring now Around the drinking straw and all the way down, to the end of the dust cover, the Recoil Spring now is the outermost 'layer', so to speak.
Some muscle is required to now compress the outer/upper area of the spring, far enough to allow you to remove the straw (should slip off easily), exposing the uppermost 2"-3" (approx.) of the Spring Ret. wire, so that you Now can use your Other Hand to delicately pull the wire's two "hooks" apart (one at a time), and wiggle them onto the grooves of the ' retainer cap'.
All this while pushing the spring down quite far, but Not allowing the dust cover to tumble down from its vertical position, while preferably on a non-skid (ie foam from a handgun case) table surface...
Send me a pm if you want, or via AKfiles or Gunboards.
Go to Remarks #2 in these steps: This is what I've tried to describe, which Did Work. Note:
I'm pretty skinny for a 67 year-old guy. You gents will have less trouble.
I used "Everyday Striped Flexible Straws"...."Kroger" brand.
