I've never seen a course of fire in IDPA where, when you're forced to shoot weak hand, you're required to do anything that makes using the controls necessary.
And I'm of mixed emotions about the adjustable sights. I almost installed the Meprolights I got recently and put on a Compact on the Combat, instead. I do like the overtravel adjustment, and I've read things that make me think the internals get different treatment, but in fitting and material (or coatings.) Mine also has a Champion sear installed. I "THINK" that helped, but can't be sure.
If you're forced to use weakhand, your other hand is out of action. If your other hand is out of action, they're not going to ask you to do a mag reload, as that would be potentially VERY dangerous in a match situation.
I've shot my 85 Combat far more often in IDPA matches than anything else, but I'll probably try the 75SA I got from Eric the next match, which is a couple of weeks away. I've been shooting so little and so poorly, recently, that I may just go run the match and not shoot to keep from feeling foolish.
I'm tempted to try my Glock 34, as well.
I noticed yesterday as I was practicing first shots, that I'm a lot slower than I was a year or so ago yesterday, but I was consistently 5/10ths of a second faster to first shot with the Glock than with any of my CZs.
I haven't figured that out.
