Dear All,
The only "major" difference between the P01 and P02 is the trigger system; Omega.
I just returned from the Czech Republic/ Prague mid January, as we spent the holidays in Europe. I've had the pleasure of visiting their factory store and speak to their people directly.
I've also handled the gun.
The trigger system feels the same as in the P07- soft, shorter travel, comfortable, without loss of precision.
Now, about the store, it is beautifully built, using more Turkish walnut wood I have seen anywhere else. It is exactly what you see on the cz.cz website. A very stylish, classic looking store. They kindly asked me not to take any pictures, but I've prought a store brochure home.
Something to know, their business is mostly overseas (80%), with only 20% of the market share in CZ Republic. Unfortunately, their people do not recognize excelence, as they feel that anything that was designed and made under the Iron Curtain is not quality, and resume to purchasing "western" made products, such as Glock and Sig.
Ceska Zbrojovka sells their rifles best in South Africa, who thoroughly appreciates them. Germany is second (go figure- a compliment for them), and finally US of A, where we recognize quality when we see it.
Another detail to know, is that the firearms cost more there, as I have done the dollar/ corons parity. They are doing a great job here, bringing them in at real reasonable prices.
I hope this helps.
Cheers.
