CZ97B vs EAA Witness .45

Funny - I'm going the other way. I have been re-appreciating the longer sight radius and plain easy shootability of full-size semi-autos of late, and have been selling off the compacts (save the mousegun) to pay for my recently-acquired CZ97B and CZ75B.

The way I see things, the P32 in my pocket will get me back to either my briefcase or my car; from there, the CZ75B in the briefcase or the CZ97B in the car takes care of whatever business is left.   :)

I would tend to leave the Scatter gun in the car and fight back to it with something bigger than a .32ACP.
Right now that duty goes to a .44 Special.

When I had a pickup, the Rem1100 was always in a scabbard on the inner roof of the cap. But there is nowhere in my present ride that I can use to secure the shotgun, especially with two small children in the passenger compartment to deal with. The CZ97B is about as big of a package as I can safely conceal in the vehicle, so that's what I use it for.

And I'd love to carry my SW 629 Mountain Gun, but that's kinda tough to conceal when wearing dress trousers, a short-sleve shirt, and no jacket. The mousegun is all I can do, and I figger it's better than throwing rocks.

So the grips on a CZ97 can be worked to fit on a Tanfo, but can Tanfo grips fit on a CZ97?

I don't think the Tanfo grips will fit right on the CZ97 either.  BTW, this thread is almost 20 years old.  ;D

I bought a pair of Lok grips for my Tanfo Witness large frame:

Fitted them to my Witness.  I sold the Witness when I found a nice deal on a 97 and the buyer only wanted the original tanfo grips so still had the Lok ones.  The modified grips fit my 97 just fine without any additional modification.

BTW, if you have a set of Tanfo grips, just try them.  All the material I had to remove was on the underside and did not show.  Otherwise just get grips for the 97, plenty to choose from at all price points.

Awesome, you got me thinking. I wonder if a Tanfo large frame magwell and short grips will work on a CZ97
