But seriously, sorta on the points that the A-man made: wouldn't it be interesting and an absolutely fabulous breath of fresh air to shut down cold on several quite ueseless govt. agencies for like 6 months or a year? Keep paying the hired help, but saving money because they couldn't be spending our money or mucking up the business & economy picture. What a great test of the system to close out these agencies for a period of time and
SEE IF ANYBODY MISSES THEM FOR ANY REASON AT ALL?!!!?Dept. of Energy? GREAT JOB, guys & gals, simply great. C'mon!
Dept. of Transportation? What, we STILL need help with that one? Truck, boat or airplane? Got it. Which one is the gearshift? Got it. Brakes? Okay, thanks, you can go away now, we already have a road map.
EPA? Hey, if they have made a genuine and viable contribution to conditions in America then they should have everything regulated up real nicely by now, requiring no further input on their part, right? IF, hugely large IF, they have done their job then we should not need them anymore as the 'problems' would all be solved by now, right? How's come they keep saying that 'NO, the problems are becoming WORSE!'

Dept. of Education? OMG... where's the payback on that one? Talk about major fail! Their most important task now is downgrading test requirements to make all the illiterate school students at least appear as somewhat literate. They can't spell it, but hey, they may pass with some coaching, like pre-marked x's in all the boxes, just sign your name, if you can...yes, sonny, you can just put another X there...
12 month paid furlow, lock the doors, would we miss any of them for an instant? Perchance would there be dancing and rejoicing in the streets as the economy took off like an ICBM??
