Attention - Standards of News Sources
« on: August 15, 2012, 03:21:22 PM »
• It has come to my attention that we have members irritated about some links being posted here as accredited news sources. Some are irritated that the links are not taken seriously, others that the linked sources are limited and aren't to be taken seriously.

As of now, I would like to request all members posting news link or articles for discussion in any part of the CZ Forum, please link to stories from reputable news sources such as local affiliates, Yahoo, CNN, Firearms Examiner, etc. If you are not sure if a link is reputable, please PM an Admin and ask. I value ALL members contributions here, and would like to keep as many people happy as possible, but keeping everyone happy all the time is impossible, sorry.

• Along these lines, some time ago a former member touted Freedom of Speech to me. Please understand, this 1A protection doesn't apply to a members-only web forum. Certainly anyone can type anything they can get past the filters, but if it's grossly off topic/mission of this web forum, it's likely to be deleted. True 1A covers political speech in a public setting - this forum is akin to my living room. I like to think we try as hard as we can to keep a free and open discussion forum here within our guidelines, and encourage all to participate as fully as possible within those guidelines.

If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to PM me. Again, everyone's co-operation is requested in this matter, and I thank you in advance.
