Caleb,
funny thing is.. my PO6 was my first centerfire handgun! the local gun store actually sold it dirt cheap w/ two magazines (turns out one of the mags was for a 9mm and thus the reason it likely sold so cheap, once i figured that out, i couldn't stop shooting it! and created the desire/luv of CZ's and thus the reason the 'other two' came home.
my PO6 is drop dead accurate, gave it to my son (after he had owned a ruger SRC9 and RIA 45) he actually love the PO6 so much he used it to qualify for his CCW and routinely carried it, now it came back to me.
for home defense/self defense.. it rocks..basically will create one small apple size hole in a target with quick double taps at 5-7yds.. when I put my lasermax on it.. the thing drills snake eye's and long ragged holes at 15yds.
i love it. all of em are extremely accurate with minimal recoil for me.. like I said my son's Ruger SR9C has more felt recoil to me. My wife even shoots the .40 well with no compliant of recoil.
the other 'outsider' i own is a keltec PMR30.. wicked fun gun to shoot (part of the home defense system) wife really likes shooting that one.. but claims it is louder than the .40.
for what its worth.. i'd wouldn't hesitate recommending/buying.
