Welcome to the club, have had my 85C 4 weeks now and it is addicting. Do yourself a favor and buy 1000 rounds and go to it.
Since I live in NJ, those 10 round mags will look great in my gun. You won't need yours once you get your 19 r mags.
I take donations.   ;)

LOL,.....I take "cash" donations towards said mags.  ;)

UPDATE:

So I decided to tinker, I was bored last week so why not. Before I did a complete disassembly, I took a SA trigger pull reading (no need for a DA reading, sinse my gauge does not read that high). I was going to smooth the action using a couple of how-to threads on this site and youtube. Here is the reading of the SA pull before anything was done.

So, on to the disassembly. Followed the step-by-steps and double checked everything to see how it operates. I found this to be fairly easy to accomplish. Here is how it looks all gutted out (I installed the grips loosely to set asside through the ordeal). Note: I did not remove the sights or extractor, it was not needed for this "upgrade".

First things first, I pollished the barrel feed ramp. Followed by the barrel locking lugs and finally the rest of the barrel.

This pic is after assembly, 'cause I forgot to snap a pic before it was installed. You get the idea, tho.

Now I know it's not a mirror finish, but it works for me (plus, the cell pics do it no justice),

Stay tuned, there is more to come!

UPDATE #2

Continuation of some pollishing to smooth out the trigger pull.

Today i went and pollished the safety plunger.

I also pollished the safety plunger lifter thingie <------technical term.

Now, it's HAMMER TIME! Note: i did not change any angles or surface areas/tooling marks while pollishing. I just made it shiny and smooth for less friction.

Next I worked on the sear...

Last but not least, the trigger bar... this needed a lot of work.

Tomorrow is another day, thanks for looking.
Caleb

Thanks for this thread! Very interesting, informative, enjoyable and some great pictures. Have done some work inside mine so I could relate to parts shown and mods done, looks real good! I don't think I did a whole lot of polishing but can't really remember [speakin of advanced CRS!] but a good project for this winter no doubt. Keep up the excellent work, interested to see the final trigger pull weight!

BTW: most of the CZ Mec-Gar 10 round mags normally sell for about twice the price of much higher capacity magazines, even from sellers giving their best discounts.

+1 to what Spirit said, great thread and pics. And I thought I was doing good putting in an extended firing pin, solid retaining pin, and reduced fpb spring! What do you use to polish but not take off material?

Oh well, then hold on to your briches(sp?)......there is more to come. I allready know what the outcome is, but I have to stretch it out....LOL.

I'm hitting up the local gun show this weekend to look for high cap mags. Then I might sell the 10 rounders, maybe.

Oh, and thanks for the kind words.

Thank you sir. I use 1200 wet/dry sandpaper using my hand (helps me not put too much pressure on the part) and Rem oil (no water, water causes rust remember).

Stay tuned and you will see what else i have going in this project.

BTW: You are doing well replacing those items. Are you installing a lower power hammer/main spring as well?

MOVING ALONG....

I went with CGW DA Ultralite Spring Kit, Light Weight trigger Return Spring, and Upgraded Trigger Pin. The DA kit comes with two hammer/main springs, 11.5lb and 8lb. I chose to use the 11.5lb spring for better ignition on all primers. Also, the DA kit comes with a lightened FPB spring and an extended firing pin with spring.

Here are the CGW parts located to the right of the factory parts.

Here is the CGW light trigger return spring (on right). Also pictured is the CGW trigger pin with slave pin (this thing helps wonders getting everything lined up).

CGW extended firing pin with light spring. Notice the oem pin seems to be pollished, I did not pollish the CGW pin. Maybe i should of? IDK?

Time for re-assembly..

All the action has been installed....hammer, trigger, trigger bar, sear, disconnector, fpb, mag brake, and all new CGW lightened springs.

Here is the new trigger pin installed

Continued......

Notice in this shot, the mag brake has been straightened out to allow drop free operation.

SHE IS DONE!!! For now, LOL.....

Sorry for the crappy pic (cell phone).

Based on what I've read on this forum I'm tempted to but I don't think I fully understand benefit(s?) and nuances of it. My 75B is .40 S&W native/NIB. I've since bought a 9mm upper and a Kadet upper. So any changes I make to the lower/frame/receiver (not sure which is correct term) will have to work reliably with the other calibers too.

The reduced FPB spring in the .40SW upper made a considerable difference in its SA trigger pull. I believe the right path may be to do the same mod to the 9mm upper and make sure all is well with that. Then perhaps move onto the lower power main/hammer spring from CGW. Anything beyond that -- like what you've done -- is out of my comfort zone at least for the time being.

The benefit is a lighter trigger pull. A downfall is light primer strikes. A good in between sacrifice is the 13# hammer spring, supposedly works well will all primers (I have never used this spring so i can't say for sure).

I can understand the hesitation because of your caliber swaps back and forth. If this is just a fun range pistol, then I would say not to worry about it too much (run what you brung). But, I think if you found that happy medium you will be exceptionally happy with your pistol.....just my $0.02
