Holster for a SAR K2P 9mm
« on: April 03, 2013, 08:02:13 PM »
hi guys just trying to find out if anyone has a K2P and if so have you found a compatible holster...i know that nobody makes one specifically for the K2P yet but are there any holsters out there that my gun will fit into...i was given an army issued holster that hangs low from your belt and straps around your thigh but i found that the K2Ps slide is too wide to fit all the way into the holster...main because of the safety and slide lock tabs

anybody have this gun and the same problem or any suggestions on a compatible holster?

I'll be able to tell you soon, as I have an SAR K2P 9mm on order, and will be picking it up next week (Wednesday 24 April 2013).
Just bought it today.  8)  Now the waiting period.  :(

I also have quite a collection of Holsters to try it in, so I should be able to come up with something.

Please be Patient!  :)

Edit Note: As the SAR K2P is relatively new on the Market, there are not a lot of us with one, yet.  But the few that do, should chime in.

X-Kaliper

I just picked up one of these yesterday, can not wait to get to my range to test it out. I also have a EAA Witness Full Sized .45ACP. I emailed EAA yesterday to ask them the same questions you have asked.

They emailed me back this morning and here is what they said:

"Sir,

The Baby Desert Eagle 9mm holsters will fit this model of your gun, the SAR K2P 9mm. We currently do not offer a holster specifically for your gun at this time. Since this gun is just now gaining popularity, companies should start producing molds for your gun.

Thank You,

EAA Corp"

Thats good to know i found a few of those on ebay so i may get one to see how well they fit...also i stopped in at my local walmart just to get a temporary holster to keep the gun protected while its in my truck and actually found a decent holster for $13...Its a Blackhawk nylon holster size 2...its made for revolvers but the K2P fits pretty nicely inside it...has slots for your belt and a strap with a simple snap button...nice inexpensive holster if your not trying to conceal carry

although I will still get a conceal carry holster for it as well...best way to conceal this gun that i have found is in pants middle of the back..Im a skinnier guy so its easily seen on my hip...for me it also fits in the front against my inner thigh and stays pretty well hidden there as well but its not the most comfortable place for it either

So far in my research into Holsters for the SAR K2P 9mm, the following fit:

Fobus Paddle Holster #SP11 (No retention, but fits like it was made for it)

Crosman Generic Pistol Holster P/N SAH02A510 ( often found at Wally World and other stores, usually around $10 )

Tagua Open Top Leather raised OWB Holster #BH3-635 (Black, Right Hand) (Will require a bit of Stretching for use, but fits tightly) (Made for Springfield XD-S)

I have a few other Holsters, such as a fairly generic vertical shoulder rig that also fits, but it is no longer made.
I'm sure there are other good Holsters for this fine Pistol, so feel free to add them here.

Seems we've got multiple threads with K2P holster information requested in them . .

I found a few on eBay for the baby eagle for $20-$35...but some are molded to fit the eagle so I would think it would not fit the k2p...any thoughts?
A friend bought one of these for a his Beretta 8000, and his SAR K2P fits fine.

(The holster's not "US MADE" as advertised, but made in Turkey)

I got the same response from EEA when I asked what holster will fit my SAR B6P compact.  Both have a 3.8" barrel. The K2P has rails the B6P does not.
The Baby Desert Eagel holsters has a few styles (with or without rails, full size or compact, steel or polymer) .

I purchased the following from CDNN for my B6P compact and the fit is good. Jericho .45 Mid-Size Steel Frame Kydex Paddle Holster New Front Line. The price was $14.99.

So went out today and bought a fobus sp11 holster...the K2P snaps right in...my only question is that the muzzle doesn't quite come flush with the edge of the holster...is there something I need to adjust or is the Springfield pistol just a longer gun?....I know I could probably just look the dimensions up but wanted to chime in that I bought one and it does snap right in securely

Muzzle fit is irrelevant, so long as the gun fits securely in the holster.

Yes, the Springfield XD has a slightly longer Barrel and Slide. The only adjustment screw available on that Holster is near the Trigger Guard area, but it's best kept as loose as possible.  My SAR K2P's Muzzle are comes within about 1/4 inch of the end of the Fobus SP11 Holster, which is actually a pretty good fit, as the Muzzle end of your SAR K2P will be covered, which is desirable.

When you say keep the screw as loose as possible...are you saying to do that for ease of draw or is it for fit reasons...I didnt mess with it at all and the gun sort of snaps into the holster

Ease of draw, mostly.

Its a very comfortable holster to wear too...haven't gone really far with it so far but put it on after work the other day and carried my K2P around the property and while working with our horse...forgot I had it on a few times
