Does this kit work on EAA witness pistols?

Just got a t-120 full size pistol. Glad to hear these parts are available. Does anyone know if the reduced reach kit will fit, and if a flat cz trigger will fit? Also, will a short reset job be doable?

I plan on modifying some CZ 85C triggers to fit the Canik.  Once this is done, the CGW SRS (short reset system) can be fitted to the Caniks.

syhwig,

Not sir, it does not.

One more question, can these be modified to SA only?

A little while after I did just the spring kit and pins I also got one of the CGW Canik hammers. You want to get the best out of it, go with the hammer too. I also recommend changing out the trigger return spring with the CGW reduced trigger return spring. Makes one slick action particularly if you do a little hand tuning.

What kinda hand tuning? Sorry, I'm new at this.

This sounds awesome, my desire for a PCR just sank, and my desire for a chrome Stingray and chrome C-100 just rose.

Hammers, sears, triggers, springs, and grips...the Caniks/Tristars are just a firing pin and consistent set of sights away from having a realistic fully modified alternative to the CZ.  (I've heard mixed comments on modified CZ sights, so that's why I said consistent)

That's awesome. As interest keeps going up, hopefully the rest will be taken care of.

Is there an easy way to remove the half-cock?  As someone pointed out, it would be nice to be able to release the trigger when initially dropping the hammer to engage the firing pin block when decocking, but you have to hold the trigger down until the hammer gets past the half-cock point.

JonnyC,

One would have to machine/grind away the half cock notch on the hammer.
Unless you have a compelling reason to decock fully on a live round (IDPA - SSP, USPSA - Production, etc) I would leave it as is.

Working the metal on metal engagement surfaces--i.e. reducing friction via polishing and stoning. Requires you to do a detailed dis-assembly, and have some access to some punches, methods of polishing, etc.

I don't believe the Canik/Tristar are a "press fit" at all. They just slide tight out and I understand they are relatively soft.
The CGW hardened pins in the CGW hammer will not slide out; they must be tapped in firmly.
Fortunately, the hammer pin holes are slightly tapered to make insertion easier. Thank you David.

With pistol in upright position which end has the larger diameter tapered hole?
