Usually, as I mentioned above plus more shooters---sometimes a lot more shooters.  It shows running for more than one day.  Check the website and it'll explain the sign-up requirements and how the shoot will be run.
Good opportunity if it's near you.  If not, then motel etc. etc.  If it's not close, local shooters may share rides/expenses getting to the match.  Ask around.

Sounds interesting. Theres some USPSA near me and maybe they'd share expensives to an IDPA farther away

So I am trying to understand USPSA Scoring.
What is the relationship between Points, hit factor, and stage point?

I ended up 15 of 19 in production and I had the top points in 3 of 5 stages. How do points and time relate?

points/time    you need to have good hits (A's) but you cant be too slow.  So up your speed a little & try for 90% A's

"You shot too carefully". ???

Hit factor is points divided by time.  Shooting all "A"s slowly usually gives a lower hit factor than hitting "As and Bs" much faster.

Time can be less important or MORE important in your standing depending on the stage.  Some stages are blazing fast and some are complicated by no-shoots, swingers, drop turners or even loooong distance targets with no-shoots all over the target.  Blazing fast may not make up for misses or hitting no-shoots, etc. etc.
"You can't shoot fast enough to make up for all those misses".  BUT shooting blazing fast with no penalties  and B's, Cs or even some D,s can beat a slow all A score.

Substitute your "POINTS" score and divide by your total  time.
Then change your points to a little lower number but also lower your time by .3 or .4 seconds per shot and see the difference.

Hope this makes sense.

So a analyzed my video an I think I could reduce my time by at least 4 to 5 seconds by not stopping to shoot and reloading properly. Does that sound about right?

Yes that would be right.  Reload while transitioning from one target to the next while walking will save lots of time. Also reloading before the magazine runs dry will help as well.  I've dropped mags that still had 3-4 rounds left and insert a fresh mag that was full with 10 rounds.  When standing still and reloading will drop you in the ranking fast.  Like a cat (more then one way to skin it) there is always more then one way to shoot the stage.  Plan your reload precisely

Practice, practice, practice.
Try just reloading while standing/crouching outside and such and work on speed and precision.

Like BigHeat said, Read the stage description as soon as you get there.  Plan how you're going to run it and "where" to change mags while you moving to the next shooting position.  Don't run dry while shooting in one position if it can be prevented.   This is why Production and Limited 10 needs so many mags.  On some evil stages, 6 are needed.  Having a "spare" mag in case one has to be dropped due to a malfunction or brain flatulation or unexpected misses is a good idea.  Murphy pops up when you least expect it.
OR not. ;D
