Replacement Bushings/Spacers Now Available.

B.I.L. and I finally got the time to machine replacement bushings/spacers for the CZ 40P.  They turned out great.  We tested one today, and they work great.  They are made from Black Delrin.  This material proved to be harder and more durable than the factory white plastic.

Close-up.

The one on the left is after 100 rounds of Winchester Value Pack ammo.  The one on the right is a new one.

Factory chewed up white bushing shown with a few that we made up.

View installed in the slide.  Shown with one of our guide rods :D .  Note:  The notched/chamferred side needs to go in the gun as shown.

Just threw this one in for fun.

These can be purchased on our website.  HERE. The website contains info on sending a check or paying through paypal.

Also please note.  If you are using Wolff Springs in the gun.  The inside diameter of the bushing/spacer needs to be made a little larger.  Please let us know if you need this done.

The stainless guide rod looks great.  Smooth. The black recoil buffers fit perfect. Nothing like a machinest with time to spare! Cant wait to fire the gun again.

I find this funny.  I say that because of the word "machinest"  a couple of people have said that lately.  I feel more like a kid in the garage screwing around with his Dad's tools.  Thanks for the compliment.  I am just learning as I go :D   I wish I knew more.  We did get a cool new toy for the garage a couple of weeks ago.  It is a Smithy Metal lathe/mill combo.  My father in law bought it for his business and didn't want to take the time to learn how to use it.  B.I.L. and I had gone up to his place a couple of times to experiment with making the bushings.  He finally told us to move it over to my place and if he needs something built, he will come to us.  There are so many possibilities and things we could do with this thing.

When I went to sea on steamships (remember them? Im showing my age!) engineers sometimes had to replace parts which hadnt been manufactured in nearly a generation. Its amazing what they could be motivated to come up with for a couple of hours overtime.

That guide rod is really nicely machined. Smooth as a babys bottom.  The derlyn bushing fits perfectly.

Hey 12V...I put in an order for your FLGR and bushings about a week ago and still haven't received them.  Tried to contact you via your homepage but I'm not sure if you're getting my emails....forum was my last resort.  Really excited about installing these components...sorry about being impatient.

Hey - I just wanted to place an order... I want to make sure you're still around before I do so - I can see this thread was last updated by you in Nov. '04.

Thanks.

Don't worry, I ordered a guide rod a few weeks back and while it took a bit longer than I had hoped, it arrived in about 8-10 days. Very high quality and worth the wait!

Still around and still working on things.  We have slowed a little due to the fact that BIL has been away on a job.  Hopefully back to regular speed by next week.

Thanks 12V, TZ, & enaz.  Guess I'm too bleep excited to mock up my 40P that I'm getting impatient.  Thanks again for the update.

Mr. Ashby,
I have still yet to recieve my order that I placed with your company.  I ordered a FLGR and 2 pack Delrin bushings.  The Order was placed on March 28th.  You have replied once to my numerous email inquiries but had not stated when I could expect my order.  If I do not receive my order by the end of the week, I will file a claim with PayPal to request a refund from you. Please advise on what you intend to do.  Thank you.

Scrub my last comment.  I was just an impatient _ _ _ _ _ _ _!
JA puts out some extremely high quality items and are worth the wait.  Thanks JA...for everything.

Just wanted to thank Jack Ash products for a fine, fine FLGR and replacement bushings.  I am convinced the FLGR has improved my CZ40P's precision.

Now - if I could only improve on MY mediocre technique, I might just improve the gun's accuracy.  :rollin
