if CZ ever gets off their behinds and make the 10mm 97 a reality, I'd be all over that

That would be awesome, for sure! :)

Another 10mm would do my just fine   8)
Since I'm not a huge S&W fan, any of their offerings are out, even the 610    :-\  Sadly, you probably couldn't get one if you wanted one.  Smith discontinued the 610 a few years ago.  Used ones are running around $1,100 right now.  I had a line on a used 5", pre-lock 610 and once the guy found out what they were going for decided to keep it.
The DW Titan would be a great choice, if the Price wasn't so astronomical     :o Agreed.  The least expensive double stack option would probably be getting a Para 16-40 and have it reamed to 10mm.  The only other one I can think of is the STI, and you are still looking at $2,500.
BUT, if CZ ever gets off their behinds and make the 10mm 97 a reality, I'd be all over that     ;)

The demand for a 10mm 97B seems to be high, and I think it would sell well in the U.S. market.  CZ's marketing strategy seems to be deciding inhouse what to make and if it sells, make more; if it doesn't sell, stop making it.  They don't seem to be too concerned with outside input from customers or with what's selling in other markets.  If they were, we'd have a 97 Compact and a single stack RAMI, too.

I've decided I shouldn't read in this thread anymore.  I get a little too amped up with some of the things I see here.  ;D

10 mm.....Mmmmm ! I owned an original Colt Delta Elite, sadly I sold it.  The only gun I truly regret selling, and to think I purchased for $350. They're worth 3x that now!
I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I know how to use every one of them !!
CZ 75b .40
CZ 75b SA .40 (With lots of CZ Custom work)
CZ 75b Matte with CGW magic
CZ 452 17hmr varmint
CZ 452 Ultra Lux
And a long list of non CZ'S

Are 10mm handguns popular in Europe and other markets?  Is ammo available there?  Do the laws favor that caliber?
And, maybe there's the rub.

I didn't realize it but a S&W 442 was my "next gun".  Picked it up last night.  It was posted locally on another forum and the price kept falling.  It finally reached the point that I could no longer resist.  I have wanted a hammerless snubby and this one is very nice.  I had no idea Smith made these in satin nickel.  I thought the 642 was stainless and the 442 were always black.  Shows what I know.  Anyway, sometimes you don't really know what your next gun is.

Indeed! I had every intention of adding another Glock before my last range visit... On that visit I finally reached a breaking point with the ergonomics of that platform.

I went to the LGS and just held and manipulated every full size service pistol... without any selection bias, for a change.  The CZ-75 was the most memorable and comfortable with the best trigger reach for my hand. I bought it on the spot.

This time I let my hands do the picking instead of being told what was best by the marketing monkeys :)

My "next gun" came as a bit of a surprise simply because I didn't want to get into another caliber hand gun, especially one where ammo cost on average $25.00/50 for ball but an associate had this one sitting in his safe unfired since the mid 80's and thought it time to give it up.

A Colt Government series 70. Not much history on the gun but after stripping, cleaning and oiling, and a box of target rounds through it, I quite impressed and very pleased with my purchase.

Great find, Duppie!  I've had my 1911 for a very long time and every time I shoot it, the love affair is rekindled.

Thank you Gentlemen. She's bone stock except for the aftermarket grips and I think I'll resist the urge to modify her as is my habit with my other firearms. This one I think will be left as is. I will, however find some period wooden grips, perhaps with a Colt logo.

SP-01 Shadow #2 is arriving from the good folks at CZ Custom next week where it will join #1, a 75B Stainless, and a Compact Shadow. That should put me in good shape, but an SP-01 bull barrel variant would get me to reach for my wallet :)
