I have the M9-A1 and I bought my brother the L9-A1.
They are great shooters and the ergonomics are the best there is IMHO.
But ....and I say 'BUT' the guns fling spent brass back at our head(s). Not every shot but at least one out of every magazine or so. It is annoying to have a hot brass down my shirt, on my balding head, or stuck on my ear. I have changed out the extractor and the spring. I have mixed and matched the parts that the Steyr guys sent me (fast and free). But still, it happens.

But the good thing is the gun is just perfect otherwise. I really like the triangular sites and the ergonomics. It is just like pointing my finger.
And it breaks down in a flash for easy cleaning. I still carry it and when I want to show off at the range it is the only gun that is as accurate as my CZs.
Just a note: my police buddy has it in 40 cal and never has that issue with the brass at the head.
So, I always button my top shirt button and always wear glasses and a cap at the range anyway.

Very interesting!  Thanx for letting me know about that.  Perhaps a slight beveling of the ejector can cure that issue.

I've been hankering for a Ruger GP100 4" SS for a bit now, so I think that is next. I have a Redhawk 44 Magnum 4" SS, which is sweet, but it needs a little brother.

That's a good choice. I had the opportunity to put 40 rounds through the GP-100 Match Champion over the weekend. I think it will give me a severe case of revolveritis to go along with my current case of RAMIitis.

Yes, the Match Champions are very nice looking, and have a better trigger from the factory than the stock GP100, but I am planning on using it as a  PA trail gun, so I'd go for the standard and save about $200.

I've never shot a GP 100. That being said, I'd like to own one someday. I've got a Super Redhawk that I just love. So hey, I've got to have a .357 with the same grip dynamics. I'm thinkin a 3" version.

I've got a Smith and Wesson 915 on the way, after shipping and FFL it's still under $300. I hadn't actively sought that particular pistol out, but the price was right.

I'm a fan of metal pistols, and have accumulated a few. When you look around today, you see a ton of polymer, and that is becoming more prevalent with CZ, SIG, and Beretta. S&W and Ruger have already abandoned their metal lineup, except for the 1911s mostly.

I think a good metal fullsize pistol (like the CZ 75) is the epitome of the pistol, and I want to collect some decent examples before they are all gone. I had a hole in the collection this S&W fills, now I just need a SIG. ;D

Gp100's will eat any load of 357. They are a stout handgin. You get a trigger job done and it's a piece you would think twice about getting rid of. I looved my gp100.

Well here I am again saying my next gun is another CZ.
This time a CZ97B E Schmeky called today to say my glossy blue is ready to ship!!!

Looking forward to this precision instrument.
Yay! Can't wait to hear what you think about that.
Hi Bishop, well I think you should just come down and check it out in person, that's what I think! Ha, Ha,
The trigger should be about identical to your 40 and my 9. I do miss that 40 at times.

I should be getting a call tomorrow from the FFL if it comes in early enough, already told the wife to plan on going to the range in the evening. 8)

Definitely getting that new DAO P-07 that CZ is finally releasing. They must've been hearing my prayers since it's supposed to come with your choice of Heinie Straight 8 or Meprolight NS's, deeper cut side serrations ala CZ 100, and, be infused with a touch of that CGW magic; can't go wrong with a 7# buttery smooth pull and moderate reset! How they made it 100% ambi is beyond me, but I don't care, it's simply an amazing design that's long overdue, and may make a lot of people reconsider a true DAO!

SIGH..... Time to wake up and return to reality [emoji20]

I fully realize that most people no longer want a true DAO, but I have twice now lost a DAO pistol by waiting to go back and get them.

The first was a Colt Pony (true DAO .380acp) with a very nice trigger.  I went to ask my son about it (he's my resident expert on used gun prices and what to look for).  When I returned 1 hour later, it was gone.

Yesterday, I went to a gun store that had a DAO Beretta Cougar last month.  Well yesterday it was gone:(

SOMEBODY (besides Cyanide) likes true DAO handguns.
