Picked up my DW 15-2 around noon, stopped at a local range and  ran 50 rounds of mixed 38 Special and 50 mixed of 357 Mag through the revolver. I'm very happy with the accuracy with the 4 inch barrel and OK with the 6 inch. The 4 inch shot best groups with 125gr SJHP 357 ammo (Federal 357B) and worst with 180gr Keith style 357 hand loads. The 6 inch did best with 158gr LSWC 38 Special hand loads and worst with 125gr SJHP 357 (Federal 357B). The 6 inch did fairly well with 180gr Keith style 357 ammo, but didn't seem to like lighter bullet 357 and 38 Special loads. I need to try some of my 140gr hunting loads out of the 6 inch barrel.

Not too bad for a $425 revolver.

NICE GUN! You have one made at the monson plant which is more desirable than the Palmer made guns.
If you have not already been there be sure to visit http://www.danwessonforum.com

The Dan Wesson model 15's are great guns, I bought my first model 15 for $350, but it was not with me for long.
I couple months after I bought it I found a 715 (stainless) 4" with the VH barrel (full underlug like our 4".)
I bought it, sold the model 15 and still have it today along with an 8" VH barrel with built in scope rail on top.

I first fired a 1911 back in 2007; it was the third gun I'd ever tried and the first I actually wanted.  Yesterday, I finally picked up my first one.

 ;D

Funny thing is that after shooting a double-stack 45 for so long, this still feels really small.  Even with the thicker rubber grips, it feels about as wide as my SP-01.

Looks just like mine but mine is a 10mm Javelina.  New mags and a different weight spring and it runs like a champ.

Cool, I've never seen a Javelina.  Was the recoil spring in your gun kind of warped?  The spring in mine looks like it is too long, and bending sideways when in the slide.  The magazine included with mine is crap.  The feed lips are far enough apart that the rounds (I've only checked with snap caps so far) will pop out if I load more than 2 or 3  :o.  I bought a Kimber Tac-Mag (feels solid) and have a Tripp 10-rounder on the way.  I might pick up some Mec-Gars, too.

Spring seemed to be too heavy.  I took the spring from my Citadel .45 and it worked well.

My mag was an Eagle with some kind of ribbon spring set up.  You had to download the mag by 3-4 rounds to get it to feed right.

I got a MecGar and another brand and they both work normally.

A 7in Javelina has been on my "To Do List" for a while
One thing I never have found out though:
Which Model is better;
An IAI or the AMT ?   ???
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Ribbon spring, like in an old-timey rifle magazine?  Is the recoil spring you are using for a longslide or gov't model?  The Mec-Gars that I am looking at have a welded baseplate--that means it cannot be removed, right?

1911 floorplates aren't removable (usually) so there is a different process to remove the follower and spring.

Just looked it up on Youtube.  It's odd compared to what I'm used to.

Ordered a S&W Shield earlier this week, going to hopefully be part of a CCW rotation with my P-07 once I get my license.
