I bought two of those magazines from J&G and the result was constant nose-up-jams.  I took them apart and discovered the springs were two full coils shorter than the original.  I guess i can find original springs somewhere but why throw more money into a piece of junk.

I did that myself. CZ-USA has the springs and followers but before you do that try this. Get some calipers and a small hammer then measure the width of the lip at the top of the magazine. The front most part of the lip should measure .330/.340 apart. It will be wider so lightly tap both sides equally as you can until this dimension is obtained. Then load the mag and see if the rounds sit level. They might function correctly without new parts.

If those are original mags, as they claim, they should function fine. The other side of the mag (not shown in the pic) should have a small crossed swords stamp.

I got one from JG Sales and about 50% of the time I can get through a whole mag with a failure to feed. I don't recommend buying these and if you have them definitely don't use them for carry mags. They are a horrible product. I am surprised they are still selling them, since it is common knowledge that they suck.

Well I got a couple of fake over priced 82 mags from somewhere I'm not saying.  The loaded cartridges are denting the front of the magazine because they are so soft.   The weld on one is bad.   I would call and whine about it but they accidently sent me an extra 500 bullets last time I ordered 62gr fmj.  We are even it seems in the game of grab your ankles so I'm reluctant to say who they are.   ;D

After reading your first sentence I was ready to take you to task for 'not naming names'.  However ... after finishing the post I have to agree with your discretion.  It is nice when things work out unexpectedly.

I am convinced there is a city in China named "CZ" where slave laborers are forced to use cheap materials while toiling at cranking out magazines in a "factory".  How else could those 82/83 magazines be called "factory made" and labeled:  "mfg, CZ"?  I paid just short of $28 each delivered for a half dozen from Robertson's Trading Post when they first came out and thought I had found a bargain.  I notice many of the retailers no longer feature a picture of the lettering on the base.  I guess folks are 'getting wise'.  Some work more or less - some do not.  I am assuming these $19.95 magazines are part of that same lot (and of course, I could be wrong).  Either way the truism remains valid - you get what you pay for.

Classic Firearms has "original Czech made" magazines https://www.classicfirearms.com/cz-82-mag-original-for-cz-82-pistol# for less than $25 shipped.  I really want to order some, but there is only one picture and no 'crossed swords' to be found, so I guess I will have to pass.  If anyone finds out these, or the other ones mentioned in this thread, are the real deal, let the rest of us know.

Or better yet - just send ME a private message and you and I can buy a bunch before the word gets out!

I have one of the $19.00 mags for my 82. I had to file it down in places to get it to work smoothly. I would  not use it in a carry pistol but for the range it's ok, if you don't mind foolin with it.

To locate the original factory-spec. mags, it required a bit of reading on three websites. My 10-rd. mag was opened last night:
"Zasobnik Uplny 83 Kal." from "Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic", $44 plus shipping via CZ-USA in Kansas City.

By the way, this mag has No crossed-swords, or any other markings I noticed.

Even when empty, it requires a bit of a very short fist thump to fully seat it, because it is brand-new. Today all fifty rds. of Tula 9x18 ammo worked perfectly.
The mag spring is so very tight (6 rds. max can be inserted by hand) that I'll buy my first "speed loader", if whichever type can fit onto these mags.

Sounds like you got a winner. The UpLULA 9mm to .45 ACP works.

"Roger" that. This first speedloader works very well. But I often only load about five rds. in the mags, to reduce ammo consumption.

Even though my magazine from Uhersky Brod has other words written in Czech, don't be surprised if some aftermarket mags in the future (from other countries) also have some Czech words on the package.  And I do Not mean possibly from Slovakia. More like Szechuan, Canton, Santiago, Guadalajara....but such deception probably would not last long, if even possible.

I learned about aftermarket mag "labeling issues" ;) and "functional issues" several years ago.
With my first Mini 14 and 30, it was a surprise that "Perfectunion" has a forum just for the huge number of cheap magazine issues.

I bought 2 of the mags from J&G sales.

In my CZ83 I kept having failure to feed issues with the 380.  At least one with every fully loaded mag.

Yesterday I took my new CZ82 out and tried the mags with 9x18 Makarov rounds just for kicks.  Not a single failure to feed.

You can tell the follower spring is weaker in the J&G mags but for some reason it doesn't matter with the Mak ammo.

Thorn -

You have posts on two different threads telling opposite stories - one, they work in the CZ82, and two, they work in the CZ3.

Seems a bit confusing?
