I get a little frustrated when I am told what is and what is not right for me. Thanks for your input.
I hope you do not think I am telling you what is right for you.
I will though if you want me to!
Full blown race hammar gun is too light for an EDC for most, both mine came in at 2.6-2.8 lb short trigger with nil creep! Talk about LIGHT
Your particular situation is pretty rare. Practically every time the CGW hammers drop in a produce a safe, consistent 3.3 - 3.6# SA, which is ideal for EDC. This has been proven by the feedback from our customers.
Why yours is to light could be from a number of factors, but to make a blanket claim they are to light for everyone, is simply not justified.
You may be right, how should I know, as I have only done two. I shall therefore attribute it to my superior skills in polishing and assembly, big hammar and Duckbutter lube! No blanket here, your mileage may vary.
I will however maintain my stand that not everyone trains to the level of proficiency and respect that a light short trigger requires, specially in a light compact gun. Carefull what you ask for! I do like the one quote, "Life is too short for s---ty triggers."!!!
I am also going to defend CGW's race hammer here too. I know what they weigh in at on a digital Lyman trigger guage if you drop them in. Now I also know how to tune them to make them lighter if I want them by really polishing them up with all the contact areas. To the original poster, feel free to PM me if you want a reference for CGW/David. You will not be disappointed or go wrong with any of his parts. You can call David up on the phone and speak to him directly and he will not steer you wrong on what you want out of your CZ.
I would be qurious to know the drop in numbers you got with no other mods.
Am I against the racehammer? Well, as stated I have two in service that are staying there. Quite honestly it seems the only real way to "polish the turd" of a gun that was designed on different parameters. Mericanizing we call it! I am considering a Rami project for a CCW and the question remains in my mind if it will receive the full meal deal? Not sure yet, compare it to a Glock, everything has to compare to a glock, right? As it is perfunction! F-that!
Polish the turd, well, they are what they are from new. David makes a living polishing turds, whats wrong with that, nothing! I have owned a lot more costly guns that I liked a lot less than my turd!(s)
