According to this tread it's mags marked "15" that have the cracking issue.

I will pull date stamps when I get home. Might as well load them up, wait and see. CZ says they warranty any of the cracked mags.

I don't mind polymer mags (excluding them being fragile/faulty), but I'd instantly purchase steel mags or steel reinforced mags for the CZ Scorpion.

The scorpion has been a big hit, so this seems like an opportunity for someone to make a product that plenty of people would buy.

I could eventually see a new "lower" like we see with the SCAR or other gun that uses a different mag. MP5 mags or something.

No cracking in any of my mags, which have been kept constantly loaded for at least a year.

My 2 mags that are starting to crack have a May 2014 and an April 2014 manufacture date.

A new lower would be cool....not necessary, but cool.

I would love to see Lancer make CZ mags.

And sell them for $30 a piece.

The road to the gun store would be wetted with the tears of MPX guys.
Some will die in hot pursuit in fiery auto crashes.
Some will die in hot pursuit while sifting through my ashes.
Some will fall in love with life, and drink it from a fountain, that's pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain.

Why would they make $30 Scorpion mags when they can make $70 MPX mags that sig fanboys can't stop buying?

I froze one to -60*F, dropped it three times from 7', and I'm still using it in the gun. This was one manufactured after 4/15.

Guys are we really going to worry about mag breakage in "ZOMBIE Apocalypse" If they work first and second and third time great.there will be so much to play with in a free for all. you might use all the mags up, and use the Scorpy as a club. and grab something else in a real fire fight.and as armored says stack them deep. having 20 or so around should set you free.. ;)

After reading all the posts in this and the other thread about cracked/broken magazines. I would be willing to pay a few dollars more for a steel  mag.....
I have a couple of broken mags that I will contact  CZ-USA about, but I would feel better with steel in this design.  (Yes, I have plastic mags in other calibers & guns).

So, if anyone starts making  steel magazines,  count me in.

Lateck,

If steel mags don't come out, its not a deal killer for me.
I called CZ, they are still replacing any cracked or broken mags. And at the price point I will just keep buying them and building up stock.
