Are there any issues with LIMITED dry firing of the CZ P07 (or P09)?

You might damage the firing pin retaining pin if you don't use a snap cap or o-ring.... The stock pin is rather, uh, soft.

"LIMITED dry firing" is less likely to cause issue, but O-rings cost very little. I use an O-ring for all dry firing.

Here is a reference pic for the P series.

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

O ring - very cool!  8)  I guess you learn something new every day.  Is there a specific O ring recommended?

With a heavy enough hammer spring and enough dry firing i have seen only a few. I am unclear on all of the details of these select situations so other things may have figured into the outcome.  What i take from this personalty is that for most all CZ owners it will never come up but there is very little down side in using an O-ring so i use one for anything surpassing limited dry fire. I do not like snap caps for high volume dry firing, they break down over time and shed aluminum shavings into the pistol. I use snap caps for function testing only these days.

With my P-09 and CGW parts, I have dry fired thousands and thousands of times.  Zero issue.

Even better - get the red silicone o-rings (easier to see if you forget it)
