A rare batch of SP-01 Compacts available

Ha nice knife and grips, I have a set on my pcr that are similar. The lok palmswells are very nice although a wee bit thicker. Shot both yesterday and couldn't pick a definitive winner on grips for me, although I think the quality is a touch higher on the loks.

Hey chiddly - do you ever see carrying this over your PCR? I'm torn on which one to get for my next CZ.

Not for me, I'm making the steel compact a sao fun gun. Hard to beat the pcr for carry.

I've been switching between my SP01C and my P01 for carry.  The SP01C is heavy, but not so much that it's a problem.  It's only a couple of ounces heavier than a standard 75B compact and plenty of people carry those with no issues.  What I end up carrying regularly will depend on what I shoot better at the range.  Lately that's been a P07 but I think that the SP01C may take it's place in the carry routine once it's finished.

My SP01C is completely taken down right now for internal polishing.  There's a bag full of CGW parts enroute for it and when done, will be at the Pro kit level.  I didn't go with the actual Pro kit because I like the ring hammers better than the race hammer, so it was pieced together.  The internal polishing is going well but still needs work in some areas.  I really had mixed feelings about doing a CGW upgrade on this gun because the factory trigger was the best factory trigger I've felt of any of the 15 CZs I've had over the years.

I did the CGW upgrades to my SP-01 compact but I also had the same mixed feelings. You are right about the factory trigger.  I've carried and shot revolvers for years and the factory trigger in the SP01C was pretty good in comparison.

Ha! Nice choice! Have em send the OEM safety to you. If you carry it there may be a small chance you want to swap to the slim one. I prefer the extended LH safety, but it's better to have and not need than to want and not have. Let us know how it is when you get it!

I couldn't resist anymore. I've been torn between this or the PCR. I love my full size SP-01 so much that I'd rather carry this even with the extra weight. That and in 6 months these won't be available anymore.

Yeah, that's my logic for getting a second one...  I love my SP-01 and these won't be available forever. Fair warning, you'll probably get a PCR in the future. I thought 2 CZ's were enough. Now I have 4 and twice the happiness when I go shooting!

What holster have you been using?

I got a new AIWB stealth gear holster. Just can't get it to work like e rayon else seems to get appendix to work. Tried all the other spots, just not functional for me working a desk job all day.

Scarlett - have you become comfortable with the AIWB stealthgear?  I have a stealthgear IWB that I use now, but thinking about AIWB going to this heavier pistol.  I know my IWB is comfortable and almost disappears when I have it on.

I have! It took some playing with and getting used to but it is really nice now. Best part is the p-01 holster will hold the PCR too! [emoji48]

So one of these is definitely on its way to me. I put a hold on the PCR purchase and will dedicate myself to this for a while. Now to decide on an edc holster...
