I chose the "carry" P01 sights F/O front with .135" wide rear notch to try as well from Dawson, before I send this one off to CZC to be milled for Heinie Ledge sights if the dawson set doesn't work out for me.  They look really nicely done, so we'll see when they get here!

scarlett,

Looking forward to your SAO conversion on this one, as i'm thinking that is what is going to be done with my compact as well... trying to decide...

I will let you all know how they work out when I get them. I ordered the set that has the .240" tall rear sight (same as the stock ones it looks like) with the .150" tall front sight. Mine is shooting about 10" high at 25 yards so the .150" tall front sight should bring it down some. The stock front sight measures .125" or so with a steel machinist rule.

I must be the odd man out. I like the stock rubber grips for it's width. Same when I had a matte stainless 75B. I don't have big hands, but I just don't like thin grips. Then again, I also like the Beretta 92 grip that most people consider fat.

I'll be trying the Dawson P-01 carry set.

Saw two of these today at the local gun show.  I wanted one real bad but walked away.  I need (right, need) a standard Compact for my project and I can see no need to buy one of these and then start modifying it.  Besides the 85 doesn't have a light/laser rail anyway.

Darn.  They looked nice, too.  Sort of like a steel framed P01.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Scarlett Pistol,

Would you mind posting a link to where you purchased those red grips? I've been looking for a nice set, those look fantastic. Also, when ordering parts in general should I order parts/holsters for a P-01?

I'm not Scarlett but I can tell you where the grips are from. They come in four colors red, black , silver and blue. I've been looking at a set of the blue ones for my SP-01 compact as well. Follow the link and search for grips.

Thanks Jim! Slide stop is P-01, grips are compact, safety is unique but you can get the tactical sport safety. Everything else are normal safety model parts. Does that make sense at all? You are welcome to PM me with any questions on specifics. Oh and here's the exact link to the grips.

Slide stop is in need of a grinder to fit my holster (for P01 Garrett Silent Thunder STX 2.0). It goes it but it frags on the slife stop. If I grind this down a bit all is well.

My first CZ!

Shipping was fast, and picked up this past Saturday and took it the range on Sunday.
All I can say is Wow! Put 200rds through it, great groupings, POI was to the left, but will be adding some sights. Finish and performance just oozes quality!

Reading all I can on what I need to do to get that nice trigger.  Shot a friends Shadow, P-01, and Scorpion and all had goodies done by CGW.  After shooting those fine pieces it was time to start looking into these CZ and acquiring one (or a few).
Time to make a holster and buy some more ammo.

1) "SP-01 Compact" (CZ 75 Compact)
2) CZ 2075 RAMI B
3) in search of the next one

Scarlett, those red grips really pop on that gun. It's amazing how something as small as changing the grips can change the entire presentation of a firearm. Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

I was surprised too. I love the black grips on my first two CZ's, but these definitely make a bigger difference! Thanks!

CZ Customs has 100 of them in stock. I was there visiting today and Stuart is thinking about ways to add the custom shop touch. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with I would watch their website to see what comes up in the near future
