Here is a Compact rail we did some sight work, trigger work and safety.
neat little guns. ( sorry, IPod photo)

Ok, fess up...what safety lever fits?

I was looking at mine earlier and thinking I could mill off the extra frame width and use SP-01 controls. But then the guns would turn out to be some historically significant thing with my luck!

Went to CZCustoms' site and stared at them for a good 30 minutes before I chickened out...  :o

I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if I had a need but this is more of a want.

The Tactical Sport Right Side Safety will work if you want one. Not sure if that is what Stuart and the guys at CZ Custom used on this one and I am curious to hear from Stuart.

It is the TS safety LHS lever. I was just coming over here to brag about it... guess Stuart beat me to it! He offered to blend it into the frame for me so it won't stick out below the line in the frame. Looks sharp. I got some G10 grips and a JMCK holster on order. Can't wait!  8)

Dang, that is slick looking. I think I am going to try and blend my Tactical Sport Safeties like that on mine. Congrats on such a good looking pistol!

Does anyone on this thread both a P07 (or a P09) and the SP01 Compact? The reason I ask is that I want to get a low profile slide release like the P07/09 has for my SP01 Compact. If I could get someone to see if the 07/09 slide stop works in their SP01 Compact, I'd appreciate it. I hate to spend $35 plus shipping for a slide stop I can't use. Thanks.

got my 2 in today. NICE looking and feeling guns. Only thing that was kind of weird was that their finish on the barrels and slide rails isn't the greatest. there was actual wear marks on the barrel and the barrel hood. something I've NEVER seen in any of my other guns on a factory fresh gun (usually the only wear you ever see is on that raised bar that the hammer slides across on the slide. you know, the one that's raised just over the firing pin channel)

The barrel exterior doesn't feel glossy either. More like plain oxide coating of my AR barrel exteriors

My barrel was the same way.  Some of my CZs look like the barrel has been used for a thousand rounds and others look slick and smooth.

Yup

My new PCR which is still NIB came sealed from deguns.net and the barrel already has smileys on it

The older Sig barrels used to be the same, one rack of the slide and the gun looked 10 years old

I guess with CZ it adds to the Eastern European look lol

lol, good to know. Well, now I'm silly excited. I'm taking the wife shooting this friday (built her a custom AR-15 for her Xmas gift) so I may have to take this sucker out with me and see how she bangs

side note. those grip panels have to go. chunky I can deal with. these suckers are STICKY though. just doesn't feel comfortable in my hand. any slimmer ones that are highly recommended ??? maybe something with a DECENTLY aggressive grip texture (not talking G10 texture or anything)

I put VZ Tactical Diamonds on my full sized CZ and they feel great.

Look at the VZ Frags or the LOK grenades for grip without bite

The Diamonds are nowhere near as aggressive as some people make them out to be

The grip on my Shield 45 and M&P 2.0 is way more aggressive

gotcha, I'll take a look. I carry the Shield .45, so I know what you mean about aggressive. I had to take some 400 grit sand paper to the shield grips to soften them a bit because anything past 50 round and my palms started to feel it

I have VZ Tactical Diamond on my Shadow and I put LOK diamond pattern on my SP-01 compact. They are almost exactly the same except the LOK's are $15 cheaper. Both are great quality grips and are very thin.  You can't go wrong with either one. Both have several different grip textures and customer service from both companies was great. Good Luck !!!
