The red dot optics are really, really helpful.  I'm rusty shooting open sights after 4 years of bullseye with red dots.  I still enjoy shooting open sights and I have to show others how to do it, but a red dot helps when trying to shoot small groups at 50 yards and more.

I've tried open sights at 100 yards and the limitation is definitely how well I can duplicate the sight picture and hold between shots.  I've shot 3-1/4" at 100 yards with a red dot on a P-09, but usually 4-6" group size, and about double that with the open sights.  On a good day.

These late model automated CNC manufactured, reasonably priced pistols from CZ (and maybe others) are phenomenal.  Human eyes and muscle control and mental discipline are the areas where improvements can always be made, day to day, year to year.

Just shoot it, I'd bet it groups tighter than the HK.
I know that my P-07 shoots tighter groups than the multiple HK's I used to have!

Just for kicks, I got out my 10k round P-09 and checked the vertical slide wobble.  Here's the result and what I concluded...

So, I'm testing out new video gear, this was a perfect excuse to shoot my third YouTube video of the day!   :) :)

Joe, your video shows slightly less up and down movement compared to my P-07; but as you point out and prove from your accurate shooting (on your video yesterday comparing P-10c to P-07) this movement doesn't affect the gun's accuracy.

My guess is that when the round fires, the forces firmly push the slide and barrel consistently up against the frame tabs as the bullet travels down the barrel. The same way every time.

For comparison I pulled out my SP-01.  Even with it's long steel rails there's slight vertical movement although not much.  Enough to allow the gun to cycle properly with a bullet energy of almost 400 ft.lbs as it leaves the muzzle.

In summary, I've been assured the P-07 will be more accurate than I am.  O0

Thanks Guys.   Vinny

I saw on my soon p10c, the gap is slightly larger than the one you shown on the video. Is that normal too? Thank you.

As long as the barrel locks up in the slide you are gtg. Slide play won't be a factor. P-07 and P-09 are consistently the most mechanically accurate pistols that CZ makes.

This.  The slide is just rocking in the rail tab clearance because the close spacing of the rail tabs in the frame.  The sight to barrel dimensions are not changing at all, and the slide returns to the same position relative to the frame after each shot anyway.  Nothing to be concerned about at all.  If there wasn't any clearance, the slide wouldn't cycle.

OK, RANGE REPORT: YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT! This gun is very accurate. Way more accurate than I am!
After my 1st trip to range I had to make some adjustments. I changed the grip strap to Medium so it now fills my had snugly. I know the Talon tape I'm awaiting will improve this grip as it has on my other poly guns.I also had to drift the rear sight back to center as it was set left from the factory. Even the test firing pattern from the factory were all left.
The results at my 2nd outing after only 300 rounds were much better; dare I say already as good as my SP-01 and I don't expect the trigger to smooth out until another 500 rounds. My old eyes like the P-07's sight picture better with the P-07's larger suppressor dots.
I'm no Bulls-Eye shooter, but here's 25 rounds shot in Defense shooting mode 5-round bursts each starting with DA at 25 feet I would have kept shooting another mag but I ran out of bullets  O0:
