I just watched it!  If he would have used the second strike on any of the rounds, I think they would have gone off.  I think it would have passed both the elemental and gauntlet.

If you watch the Glock video, the Glock passed the elemental and had 2 failures in the gauntlet.  They retested the Glock and it had the same thing happen both times.  The CZ and Glock ended up with the same number of failures, but would have gone flawless if second strike were used.

These are definitely entertaining. In my opinion it is 2nd to only the Arex. When it went out of battery in the first round, was he hoping that by dropping the hammer on the FP it would slap the slide home?

I wonder if the metal 75 series guns will have more trouble due to having full length rails on the slide and the frame.

The P-10 is going to lock up during these tests and people will be crying big baby tears. There is a reason he hasn't done it yet. They're entertaining at best because if I ever find myself fighting in elements as these then something is wrong. Even in Afghanistan I never found myself even thinking about something as thick as the mud he uses and when it rains there it's nothing but mud. His previous mud puddle tests are more revelvant for everyday carry.o

I'm actually surprised by the success of both the P-07 and the Rex. I expected the hammer fired guns to fail more, as it has more functional components exposed to dirt/mud compare to the internal striker assemblies.

If I can remember, the G17 had three failures. Again if I can remember, during the gauntlet he pressed and covered it but forgot to flip in two of the elements so he subjected it to the gauntlet a second time. An unfair test but it still was impressive.

Regardless, the Rex Zero 1, G17 and now the P-07 have been the most impressive. The VP9, P230, P229/226 (can't remember) have been most disappointing (so far).

The M&P also struggled.

Very impressive, can't say I am at all surprised by the results... CZ makes great guns (end of story).  Makes me think I need to add another P-07 to the stable in the near future.

Agreed. The original was abysmal, the 2.0 did a bit better but still not good.

These are interesting test. The P07 has a slight disadvantage with the quarter cock position on Carry, but that is a huge advantage for the pistol overall. It did very well and while the mud test is ridiculous especially the way it was done in this test it does show that the P07's a darn good weapon.

It is funny how Tim qualifies the test now from all the people dumping on him over the Internet about these tests.

Any double action single action pistol should be put through double strike if it fails.

Nothing, I repeat nothing, has been as horrible as the Remington RP9.  Two failures in the Elemental and FIFTEEN failures (and not finishing) in the Gauntlet.   :o
