Wow that's not bad at all for the amount of work done, basically turn key operation minus buying the RMR. Makes sense about having the rear fixed sight forward of the RMR in those circumstances. To me the only reason I thought I'd put it at the rear was if I could use the existing dovetail for the taller rear sight but sounds like that was a no go anyway plus as you said, the real estate available on the slide. Have mildly toyed with the idea of not even using a fixed rear iron sight so can maybe just use rear dovetail for mounting RMR. First gotta decide on WHICH RMR and WHICH size dot or reticle. Initially leaning towards Vortex Venom but probably go with Trijicon, can get the Dual-Illuminated RMR for $400. The green triangle reticle looks interesting.

I have two dual illuminated RMRs (one the P07 and one on the P09.)

The P09 has the green dot and the P0t has that amber dot.

For me the amber dot works much better.  It's brighter.

If I'm under the range cover/roof and it's a nice sunny day with well illuminated targets I almost can't see the green dot.  I have to move (if no one else is there) over to the side of the firing line so I can get more sunlight on the fiber optic to light the green dot up better on the bright target.

The orange dot will also be less illuminated under similar conditions but it is still visible and easy to use.

I've read where other people have stated the opposite is true for them - green shows up better under the less than ideal conditions of the target being in bright light while the dual illuminated RMR is in dim light conditions.

If you can look at both colors in a store somewhere, hold your hand over the fiber optic "window" to shade it and see which one works best for your eyes.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Oh wow that's interesting about the green color. I've seen lots of scientific studies claiming that the color green is the most visible to the human eye due to the arrangement of rods and cones or some such. I just don't believe that finding that it's true for ALL people. Every one is a little different with varying degrees of vision strengths and weaknesses. I've used red, green, yellow, orange, and blue scope reticles/pistol sights. The best one for me is...it depends LOL. I do agree that green gets washed out too easily for me also. I'm thinking those scientists that say green is best have never even had their heads behind a scope lol. I did have an ACOG a long time ago with amber that I liked. Honestly, I had a Hawke scope with red, green, or blue reticles and probably liked blue the best overall. May give the amber a whirl in the Trijicon. I think I might use the Glock 19 tho since I have 2 and keep my CZ's unmolested other than getting a threaded barrel for the P-09 for if/when my Silencerco Hybrid suppressor ever gets out of jail with Uncle Sam. Thanks for the tip on the amber dot!

I know this thread is 3 years old, but its exactly what I'm going to do to a P-07 soon. Does anyone knows what holster makers make holsters to accommodate the irons forward of the RMR? Looking for AIWB with side claws for maximum concealment. Thanks

Just a few I’ve found in my own search. I own a few from Fury and one from Tier 1 for my glocks. I plan on purchasing one from Legacy once I get my CZ.

From what I’ve seen, it really doesn’t matter where the irons are with an IWB holster.
