I know "why" the Glock comparison.  I just don't get stretching a wrong comparison.  He knows better.  That is what baffles me.

Read the specs. The sar cm9 is a tad larger than the g17. The g17 is full size and g19 is compact.  Maybe he made a mistake, but being a Glock guy he shouldn't.

Hey, midsize is great if that is what you want, but it is different and in carry, height means a lot.

G19 has 4" barrel, G17 has 4.5" CM9 has 3.8".  Grip length is probably closer to G17 but Glocks mags stick out quite a bit and their angle is not like anyone else either.  Hard to compare.

the CM9 Gen 2 is the SAME size in one dimension and larger in another over the Glock 17 - which is considered a full size duty gun.  So, it is 'about' the same size as the G17 - which is in a different category than the G19 - that is why they made a Glock 19.

Looking at the differences between the G17 & G19, the size differences between them are minor.

As the barrel length of the CM9 is roughly the same as that of the G19, I can unequivocally say that Sootch's statement about the general size comoarison between the G19 and the CM9 is indeed a fair statement.

In all fairness, he could have stated that it is similar in size to the G17 as well, but in reality it's closer (not exact) to the G19.
