CZUB?s DAO of the late 90s intended for LE transitioning from revolvers to semi-automatics. The circular plate is a stopper to fill the hole. Only a 100 each of 9mm and .40 S&W brought into the US market. This one was fine tuned by CGW with reach reduction kit.

I just made the first modification on my 75 B in 20 years.  These Cool Hand grips are the greatest.

I have Cool Hand grips ("Cool Hand Luke Grips") on my 75BD as well. They rock! Not too aggressive, not too smooth, and they look bad ass to boot!
