Mr. Underwhere......I like them both very much!  :)  Nice photo setup, not that they need it on there own...but, never hurts to accentuate the subject  ;D

Pre-b's

WOW!  Have to say these are two of the classiest (ok SEXIEST! lol) ?75s I?ve ever seen.  Could you provide details on each?  What were the upgrades done and who did the work?  What finish is that on them and who did them?  Perfect blend of modern upgrades yet love the beautifully simplistic look as well. Just right!
I have a Pre-B just begging for some more affection :)

These were both extensively modded. I did the work myself.

I documented what I did in this forum's gunsmithing sub-forum for one of these guns.

For the more recent gun I posted everything in the follow up link in as much detail as possible.

The gun with the wood grips:
Frame and Appearance modifications:

  * Extended beavertail (welded)
  * Rounded trigger guard
  * Trigger guard undercut
  * Beveled magwell
  * Flushed slide stop lever
  * Added and flushed full length guide rod
  * 11 degree crowned barrel and 10x bushing
  * Rounded frame nose
  * Grips4u.Net walnut grips
  * Mark Lee Express Rust Blue

Performance modifications:

* CGW Pro Kit (pieced together for a pre-b)
  * CGW EZ-D sights
  * CGW recoil spring
  * CGW 10x barrel bushing
  * Polish every part I could think of on the frame and action (I'll spare the details)

The actual CZ 75 used in the paratrooper landing scene in Red Dawn (1984)

Okay, need the back-story on how you were able to acquire this piece of movie history  ;D

This 1980 pistol was carried on screen by Fred Rexer. I came across it in my (still ongoing) search for a 1983 ...the person I purchased it from had inherited it through someone in the family who bought it from Fred. I couldn't resist the high polish finish  O0

Hey Blackwatch. Sitting in a pub and enjoying a Svijany beer prompted me to take another look at your original April post with more photos. I now notice that the frame appears to have the ?plum? finish relatively common with blued Pre-Bs of that era. Also, as a 1980, that makes it one of the earliest Pre-Bs with serial range starting around 26000. Absolutely cool CZ 75.

Thanks Psyop96 - this one was made shortly after serial number 26999  :)

Brand new 75sp01 suppressor ready.  First shots today.  Distance was 7 yards.  I don't think I'm really a great handgun shooter, so I'm happy with those groups.  Very impressed with this gun.  Give me a few months and I'll have an omega 9k to throw on the end of the barrel.
