I've got a XD 40 cal. Points well, shoots well, great trigger, has never given me the slightest feed problem in over 750 rnds. Loving the gun, let me say what it's drawbacks are. I don't like it's bulky form factor, compared to the CZ75. The finish began wearing off of the slide's corners within the first month, and that was from putting the gun in my blue-jeans hip pocket, nothing more. The factory sights lost their white-dots within six months. Fixing these problems, I'm sending the gun to Springfield to be refinished with Armory Kote and the sights are going to be Mepro NS. The repairs are free--life-time warranty.
I got my CZ after my XD. I was amazed at how much more I liked my XD's trigger. But I was also amazed at how much less the CZ's 5" barrel mattered for a CCW than the bulk of the shorter XD. I find that slim & long is more comfortable to conceal than less long and bulky.
The XD also has a relatively hight grip position in relation to the bore axis, which is another factor in making it shoot well.
Another thing I like about the XD is this: you can take an XD in 40 S&W or .357 Sig, buy a barrel in the other cal., plus in 9mm. Potentially, you can have three guns in one. I've been told the mags will work with all three, so you'd only need the barrels. I like the .357 Sig too, so that's on my list to buy.
I like both guns. I carry both. I'll like my CZ better with a well worn-in trigger.
