This is my first CZ pistol...unless you count my Scorpion. So, how did it do? Before I went to the range I noticed the slide stuttered a little bit. I thought it might loosen up after a shooting it. It did loosen up some. Keep in mind, I bought this yesterday. It was brand new.
Serial number is 579***. I would assume it was made this year.
So, I tried shooting some Winchester 115 FMJ. It failed to eject every round in the first magazine. Lots of stovepipes and a handful of double feeds. I switched ammo to another 115 FMJ brass ammo. It failed to go into battery every time. When it failed to go into battery I tapped the slide. It didn't help. I dropped the mag and pulled the slide. The round was stuck in the chamber. It took considerable force to get it to pull back. I tried this about 5 more times and it failed to go into battery every time with that ammo. I switched to some 124 hollow point. It failed to eject some more but it started shooting a bit better. I counted about 5 failures to go into battery. Maybe 20 stovepipes and 5 double feeds. It failed to hold the slide back on the last round on all 3 ammos every single time. The pistol was manufactured this year.
I called CZ. I admit the guy was nice and helpful. I was nice. It isn't his fault. He said I might be limp wristing it but the failure to battery is likely something else. The slide not locking back according to CZ might of been my grip. It is entirely possible. I have never had that happen in 20 years before but you never know. It is a new pistol to me so it is possible that my thumb was on the slide level. I never have had any issues with any pistol I have ever shot in my life. The only gun I have ever had double feed up until this point in my life was a M16 in basic training. Their computer system is down so I couldn't get return information. I can't just drop it off at the factory(5 miles from my home). It has to be mailed. So, whenever the system comes back online I am supposed to get some return information.
Glad I spent all this money on some quality bleep. So, when the computer comes back online I can wait 3 days for them to receive it. Then was 2 weeks for them to fix it. And, then another 3 days, and take time off work to sign for the package when it comes back to me. I wish they would give me the option to exchange it for another gun of theirs. I kind of feel like if a gun doesn't shoot when you buy it brand new you shouldn't have to keep it or lose your money. CZ, if you are reading this can you just give me a P-07 Urban Grey Tactical Suppressor Ready and we will call it even.
