As a carry gun, do you guys prefer the rubber stock grips or something else?

I had some real aggressive grips that I used during a class and it about chewed my palms off.

Got some smoother ones and like them better than the rubber grips.

Used to own a CZ Jawa...

Rubber will snag on fabric. I recommend checking out Lok grips but there are many grips out there to try that will be less cumbersome for concealment than the stock rubber.

Enjoy the search :D

Love the rubber grips. But as has been said, for carry I prefer wood or G10.

I have a weakness for walnut and Haken Pek made these for me. I should have them next week. I'll try to get some photos after they are mounted soon. I have pistols with checkered rubber, checkered wood, and smooth wood on other pistols. As far as gripping I have no favorite here. Looks and durability are important. The EDC carry PCR that rides in the console vault has the durable grips.

I like the rubber grips, they work very well for me.
In fact I like them so much I put them on my Canik C-100.

Yeah I thought people were exaggerating about the rubber snagging on your t-shirt but after a few times carrying my PCR, it was definitely noticeable.

I too love the classic look of wood grips. I ordered these yesterday:

Yeah I?m looking hard at LOK grips. I want a medium aggressive texture. Can?t decide between the thinner standard grip or the palm swell. I have large hands so palm swell seems to make sense.

The palm swells have the same shape as factory rubber grips. Feel great in the hand and for iwb carry. Have them on my pcr and p01. That being said the only other grips I have used on cz?s are the aluminum custom shop(way to aggressive for me to carry but great for range) and factory rubber.

Removed factory grips from the pcr after break in period.  Put a set of grenade grip LOK grips on it and haven't looked back since.
If you find yourself in a fair gunfight, your tactics stink!

Picked up the all-steel Compact a few months ago.  I thought it would have the rubber grips, but was disappointed to find it had the plastic grips.  I didn't like the feel of the plastic at all.  Knowing myself, I knew I would probably change out the grips eventually, so I picked up the Lok palm swells in the checkered pattern.  I have a set of them on an SP-01 and liked them, and they feel great on that pistol.  They feel great on the Compact, too.  I am carrying this weapon IWB and am not experiencing any chaffing from the checkering.  As info, I don't have big hands, but I prefer a larger type grip and these fit the bill perfectly.

Your mileage may vary, but I highly recommend these grips.
