P-10c mags are 100% compatible with 9mm P-07 pistols and are priced lower.

Yes but they should offer these mags with a proper fitting base plate for the P-07. I can see already I would need to refit the P-10 base plate to fit my grip and I should not have to do that. CZ has been fumbling in a few areas as of late I'm sad to say.

I'm not positive, but I was under the impression that those magazines were actually made by Mec-Gar, but couldn't be directly marketed by them due to some agreement with CZ. Wonder if CZ discontinuing them could  affect that. Magazines direct from MecGar could conceivably cost less than those with a CZ logo stamped in.
Doesn't MecGar have a presence here onboard ? I'm an old geezer, so it may just be the lead in my system catching up with me LOL !

True:  CZ Misses the boat on a few things and with all the attention now on SF guns, CZ is neglecting the P guns.  Try getting extra backstraps for FDE or UG models, and of course P07 base plates are non existent.

I followed the link to Greg Cote earlier in the thread and ordered all the P-07/P-10 mags I wanted.  No problem.  Quick turnaround.  All smiles from me!

But they are not P07 mags, they are P10 mags.  Yes they work in the p07, but the difference in the mag base doesn’t give the magic feel of the P07. CZ should at least sell us the p07 bases.

Understood.....

I just put 200 rounds through my P-07 this morning and did not even notice the difference between originals and P-10s.  Of course it was probably because I was concentrating on my front sight while blocking out the AR brass that kept beaning me in the side of the head from my neighbor in the next lane. LOL

At speed it’s again not a big deal, but they also look goofy and don’t really match.  Also the p10 plus 2s do feel wierd.  CZ USA, you listening?

For me it is kind of a big deal.  I bought a couple of P10-C magazines, and yes they do function just fine and seem identical other than the base pads, but I have pinched a blood blister on my dominant hand pinky finger a few times when seating those mags, because of the way the front edge juts out like that.  I was using them as my range / practice magazines and had it happen at the range and at home.  My carry mags and some of my other spares are real P-07 magazines and I never had that problem with them.  I replaced the P10-C base pads with some UTG +0 aluminum ones for range usage, but they are too bulky to carry with.  So now I have to guard and protect my collection of genuine CZ P-07 plastic base pads like some rare item, which seems pretty silly.  I also got some extra P-07 +2 bases on clearance from CZ-USA before they disappear forever.

.  Here here.

And... they never sold the baseplates separately because I asked a year ago - 'nope'.  CZ has some great guns, but in general they do brain dead things that hold them back sometimes.  This is one of them - you can tell the P10 mags were not made for the gun.  Not.  Obviously they have the molds and it is trivial to produce them.  Lucky for me that I have a SP2022 and have learned to 'drink tee' when I change any mag.

I will say this:  They DID start putting out extra Urban Grey and OD backstraps which I harangued them for some months back.

Looks like CZ is clsing out the P07 specific +2 mag base plates for $4 each.

This, if you just can't live with the P10C baseplates.

Usually a notch pressed into the magazine.

Thanks. I was hoping it was an easy fix, like an extended block on the baseplate or follower.
