Update-  received Rami from CZ yesterday, went to range today fired 200 rounds , one failure to battery, but noticed I was missing to the left and it became worse.  Finally noticed front sight had shifted to the right.  It was so loose I could move it with my finger.  Not good.  Put back in place by smith at the shop but shifted again so quit shooting.  Called CZ said to send front sight back to them. Oh what fun! Really like the gun otherwise I would not go through this.  So sending the front sight back so they can send me a "better fitting " one.  Asked about sending the slide back but that would mean 2-3 weeks turnover.  Am I cursed?  Also asked about glue or adhesive. Any help appreciated. Lou

At about 15k rounds my front sight walked off. I put it back on with red locktite under it and no other issues. I eventually put a Dawson fiber optic on it and that broke, replaced it with a new one last month and so far so good. Shot an IDPA match with the broken one (the front half was gone) and did all right (for me). The Locktite really works. Just don't use it on something you need to remove like screws. Use the blue for those.

My Rami BD did the same thing after about 150 rounds I found the inner recoil spring had broken in 2 places CZ sent me a new springs and it's a 100% now. I now have 3 sets or recoil springs 1 for the range 1 for carry and a spare set just in case.

I bought my 2019 Rami about this time last year.  Had to send it to CZ after 1st time at range.  The rear sight would not tighten down.  They fixed it in in less than a week.  No other problems.  If I carried daily, I would carry the RAMI in an ankle holster without reservation. However, the stock sights suck big time.

Yes the sights are bad. The Tritium is great at night, but any other time they are just grey to invisible dots. I put a fiber optic on the front that helps in other conditions, but suck in low light.
I have the TFX Pro sights (Tritium/fiber Optic combo) on the PCR and SP-01 and they are great! Wish I could get them for RAMI, but they don't make them and I don't feel like chopping away on some to try and make them fit. Some people have had success with that, but it's not easy.

FYI- XS Sight Systems offer their Big Dot sights for the RAMI. Love the Big front tritium dot, but couldn't get used to the dot the 'I' tritium rear, but YMMV.  Ended up having CGW mount an RMR on mine and it's awesome!

OK, here is one situation I have not seen described on this forum;

I own 3, (three), CZ pistols:  1. Full size CZ 75 BD 9mm,  2. CZ PCR D Compact 9mm and 3. Rami D 9mm.
I sent ALL THREE pistols to Cajun Gun Works for “IN HOUSE PRO PACKAGE”, ($350.00 plus gunsmith tune-ups).
The CZ 75 BD had >3000 rounds shot  through it without a hiccup.  The PCR had >4000 rounds shot without a hiccup.
(Without a hiccup means......NO FTF, NO STOVEPIPES, NO FAIL  TO EXTRACT,,,,NO FAIL ANYTHING!
I sent CGW the CZ 75 BD with >3000 rounds and the PCR with >4000 rounds run through them.  The RAMI I sent without firing one single round through it since I purchased it.

The RAMI 9mm D had MULTIPLE FAILURES TO FEED, (without a single stovepipe).  This occurred with 14 round and 10 round mags.  The slide failed to go to full battery at every failure to feed. The slide stuck 1,2,or 3mm short of battery each FTF.  After > 300 rounds there were no failures to extract.  99 % of the failures resolved with a single heel tap.  This repeatedly occurred with 1st rounds out of a magazine or later rounds.  This also occurred with my CZ 75 BD and PCR mags.

For a CC self defense weapon (RAMI) and after all my OUTSTANDING experience with my other CZ pieces.......THIS WAS NOTHING SHORT OF A HEARTBREAK!!!!!!.........I was DEVASTATED,,,,,,I felt BETRAYED,,,,,just BROKENHEARTED!!!!!

I called CGW and spoke to Scott.  He said: a) try > fps (self defense) ammo and let me know what your results are.  B) we can fix that if you send it back and c) it may be the mag springs.  (BTW, Scott at CGW was VERY receptive, cordial and genuinely engaged.)

The CZ 75 BD and the PCR fired PERFECTLY for > 200 rounds after receiving them from CGW.  This posting is in NO WAY a critique of CGW.  I have nothing but respect and love for my coonass brothers.

It is simply that to restore full CC confidence and trust in my RAMI I need convincing explanations on what is not working.  I want to know that I can rely on this beauty to protect my family and me.  If not, it will be out of the lineup.

Replies and comments will be STRONGLY APPRECIATED.

Follow/up:

Field stripped the Rami, soaked overnight with solvent.  Took apart and cleaned every one of 6 mags.  Dremel felt-fitz -polished the throat, ramp and breech.  Lubed and reassembled the pistol.  Went back to range.  Fired > 300 rds with 10 and 14 rd mags.  Used 5 different types of ammo incl. 115 and 124 gr, fps ranging from 1100 to 1200.  Used Federal, Sig Sauer, Sellier Bellot, Hornady and Winchester.  Had only 1 ftf very early and 100 % cycling/feeding after that.  I think this pistol needed a good cleaning and break-in.  Very accurate at 25 ft.  I’m very happy now!
