I wouldn’t say I Completely agree, I mean I wish they still sold the S model because I’d really love to have a mil clone but the Ms model tries to be a rifle that would be more practical on the civilian market which generally are very demanding for firearms that have the ability to be modified by the end user. AR15s have spoiled us to the point where any new rifle is nearly destined to fail unless there is clear aftermarket support or soon to be. I will say the AR15 has drastically benefited from the improvements discovered in the civilian aftermarket. Who knows maybe the Bren Ms will benefit in the same way? That’s best outcome. But I do agree that I wish the S model was still available. It’d be interesting to see which would sell more over time.
Well, if modularity / accessorizing was CZ’s aim with the 2Ms, the military 2S has 8 M-lok slots on the fore end, while the US “commercial” 2Ms has (drum roll) threve....unless you pay $$$ for an aftermarket hand guard. I guess that’s one definition of being more “commercial.”
Actually the 2S seems to be filtering back into the market, which is what I would have bought if given the choice. Hopefully, the 2S will replace the 2Ms going forward, as it’s just a better gun all things considered.
