There are some listed as low as $529 on GunDeals, all out of stock of course - I've signed up for in-stock notifications for the K12 Sport as well as the SAR 2000, looks like they may be available at very good prices once they become more widely available.

If I really wanted one I wouldn't share this, lol.  As of this morning, showing in stock.

Wow that’s seems like a steal for all that steel.

Unfortunately that comes with a $9.99 shipping fee (reasonable) plus a $35 "shipping to out of state FFL" fee (completely ridiculous, and how websites like this make their money). Still a good deal for under $600 shipped though, if someone wants one today.

I didn't look that far into it, but like you said, still not bad if ya gotta have it now.  I'd like to get one, but just trying not to spend too much right now with all that's going on.  If one were to pop up local to me that I could layaway at a decent price I'd be on it.  I've been very pleased with other SAR pistols I've acquired.

Got mine in this week. Overall very pleased, though the quality of the rear sight is suspect, and I'll want to replace the whole set with something with better visibility as soon as I figure out what's compatible. SA (only) trigger is about 5lbs OOB, which isn't great, but it breaks sooth and crisp, and has good reset. I like the overtravel adjustment! I ordered a spring kit from Galloway that is SUPPOSED to fit, so will change out the trigger return spring, firing pin and FP block spring at least. Hammer spring is a bit dicey--the ambi safety is staked with a roll pin on the "off" side, and I can't see a way to get it out. Until I figure that out, the hammer spring is staying put, as is the whole sear cage.

My MEcGar mags from my 75b would fit but for the magwell--the heel (toe?) of the mag catches on the magwell a millimeter or two before locking. I'd personally prefer to ditch the magwell altogether, but will obviously need some new grips. My old 75B grips are a no go with magwell removed, but Shadow or EEA Witness might work. Will let someone else figure out that first :).

Overall, fit and finish is nice and clean. There are far fewer tooling marks inside than on my 2003 75B. There isn't a barrel bushing, so there's some jiggle. That's about the only single thing I've found that I don't like that I don't think I can do anything about. But hey, for the price it can't be beat, and it shoots well enough to make me feel bad for the guys next to me at the range.

Interested to hear what others think once these become more common.

So not necessarily a $1500-$2000 gun but worth whatever you paid I’m guessing?

That's a fair assessment. I have less into it than I do my 75b that I bought used (spring replacements, new grips, front sight, etc), and it shoots as well or better. Better, I think, because of the extra weight and the checkering on the front and back of the grip (WHY don't all pistols have that?!), once I get the sights how I like them. With any but a $1500-2000 gun I'd expect to have to do the same stuff so, really, I'd say it's a fair bit better than the price would indicate. I think I overpaid a little, but that's what you get for eagerness.

What magazines do these take? CZ? Tanfoglio? Their own proprietary?

It sounds like a great deal on a very good gun to me. I think it should be an awesome Limited gun, at least for most shooters I know. To compare it to a 1500-2000 dollar gun is a bit unfair, but what you can expect to see. Compare it to a $550 and unless it rattles and shoots sideways it is a great value. It may be made in Turkey, but a lot of good guns are made in Turkey. If you beef this gun up with a FO front sight, a better rear adjustable rear sight, you have a very respectable competition gun for the price of a generic name brand range gun. You don't have to send it to Meca in West Monroe to get it up to snuff and a sticker. But then you don't get to call your gun  "West Monroe" ized either. That really ratchets up your status in the CZ world. However it costs about what this gun cost before shipping.
I really like it when you can find a good deal on as good product. That's not saying I wont spend a lot of money on a great product because I love great products as well. I just think if you can find an awesome gun for 550 just because other 550 guns aren't as awesome doesn't mean flaws need to be found in what is a value packed item. It can just be a value packed gun. I think its a fair bit more equipped then the price would indicate as well. Congrats on owning a pretty sweet new gun sir! Enjoy and if you find the dove tail for the site please post them.
