The Power Custom jig works nicely for holding the sear while you file.

I have everything installed now and I'm amazed!
The crispness of the trigger now comes very close to my P210 and the takeup and creep is completely gone!

The fitting of the firing pin took some time, but it works fine now....thanks 'sanger00verdun'!!!
Fitting of the safety was harder than I thought, because I ruined one :\
I wanted to have it 'click' as light as it was, but I went to far and it became unsafe.......when I pulled the trigger hard with the safety on, it went off when I released it!

Now I have the new one fitted, but when you put the safety 'on', you can feel that it actually blocks the sear on the last piece of movement, but I guess I leave it like this ;)

I think the sear may be cheaper than the safety lever.  Last sear I bought was $14 or so.  How much are the safety levers?  The EGW sears are $30 (worth it too).

Sounds like yo guys are finding out why CZ USA made the new hammer.
Matbe the sear should be next?
The sear is definitly the cheaper (from CZUSA) part. and the more likly to be in stock I called for ambi SA safeties and Mike did not have any.
So be aware.

Does the DA/SA hammer have lower hammer hooks than the regular hammer?

Actually it is different in a copuple of ways the hooks are not lower the platform is higher, that is why you ahve to trim the safety, The pivot point and the hook dimensions are also different.

Are the new sights & hammer suitable for the P-01?  With the target sights, will it still shoot to POI?  I love the gun, but the sights are too small & the trigger a little creepy.

I've tested my 75B with the new hammer and trigger today (again) and it almost works how it should.
I've shot 100 rounds with my Kadet kit, without any faults, but when I fired 50 9mm's I had 3 shots where the trigger just clicked, but touching the trigger released the trigger bow and firing pin safety, so it's almost right.

I'm thinking now about firing a few hundred rounds more and polish the firing pin safety contact point to a mirror finish or should I trim it a bit more?

I'm afraid a shortening it to much, since the distance that the trigger has to move, before it fires is very very short.........

Back the trigger screws out just a bit and check for function. Unless you've loctited the screws into place, they could be creeping in while firing, narrowing your engagement window.

Be careful when shortening the block lever because you could get it to the point where it won't raise the firing pin block enough before the sear releases the hammer.

Once you've achieved 100% function, loctite the trigger screws.

I'm very careful about proper function, and after I ruined the safety I'm more cautious :-)

I've loctited the overtravel screw on the point that the sear fully releases the hammer without any drag, so that should be OK.

Maybe the block lever has a little rough spot, so I'll check that again and maybe I have do to same polishing......but I'm quite careful about some more filing........

Or maybe I just remove the firing pin block from the slide!
I use my gun just for fun and competition shooting, so I really don't care about this feature........and when I look at the exploded view drawings, I think it can removed just by removing the crosspin from the slide, am I right?

Yep, once that roll pin is removed, it all comes out. In fact, you can remove the firing pin block lever and spring too, and you can can really narrow your trigger movement down.

For me, I kept the safety in. Yeah, the chances of dropping it on a hard floor at just the right angle to hit the hammer is pretty darn slim, and when you consider that CZ's race guns, and pre-B 75's and 85's don't have it, it makes it's value even more dubious, but...

Always that 'but'.

I'm going to blast 100 rounds through it tomorrow and if it works OK, I'll leave it alone........otherwise I'll remove the firing pin safety from the slide!

I just shot 200 rounds through it and it works perfectly!
Next weekend there's a match where I want to use it, so I want to make sure it works like it should......

Sounds like you guys are the one to write the fitting instructions for the new hammer.
All this talk about it should be recorded.
Sang you want to write about it for me and I will add it to the web site?
Kinda like My imprsession and how I fitted. Sort of thing?
