Congrats on your p09. Hoping for a 97b or bd next year, but I just ran across an article on a desert eagle 50ae. Would probably go for the 44mag, and I will probably change my mind again. Shot 1 in the 80s, and although its for the range only, it would be a fun gun to own. Seriously...how many desert eagles do you see out there....course then how many 97s do you see out there. Ive seen and held 1. Wish I had bought it. Would like to see the p09 in a 45 configuration.

Update,

Decided to get rid of the P-09. I really dislike it that much. Looking to trade it for an M&P 9.

And I have over 700 rounds through mine so far and am loving it.  But, its personal preference.  Lots of folks don't like SIG's, I do.  There are plenty of gun models and shapes and sizes and trigger modes to choose from, I'm lucky, there are not many guns I don't like.  Like Glocks.  Grip angle drives me nuts.

I am on the waiting list for another P-09 now.  Maybe early 2014?

I am in Texas but I am in no hurry for the second one.  My bet is that you can sell it very quickly.  Maybe put it up for sale here?  Maybe someone with a P-07 that wants a full size will trade with you?

Sorry to hear that TW. Wish I could take that off your hands myself. Although gunbroker sales seem low right now, it might be a good place to sell it, since p09s are so rare. Good luck with your Smith. My nephew just traded his at a dealer (I guess some rare threaded barrel model) for a 454 casul revolver. Cant wait to try IT out.

The P-09 left today. Traded it for a S&W Model 14 Wheel gun.

TWMaster--Glad you found it a home.  Different strokes for different folks.  I bought one thinking I wouldn't like it (or any other polymer gun) but now I really like it, in spite of it being a polymer gun.

Trading for a Smith and Wesson revolver is no step down - I love my Model 10-8. Wouldn't trade my P-09 away any time soon, either, but there ARE so many czoices in handguns because there are so many different likes and dislikes. Diversity, ain't just a catchy phrase. ;)

A very unique good looking Model 14 I might add.  :)  I joined the CZ Club again today and hope to shoot that baby tomorrow.

AM, I also have a 10-8 S&W revolver and just love the thing. I got to shoot the Model 14 tonight. I like it. I like it a lot. It's trigger feels better than my Model 10.

DannyB, thanks for the trade. I hope you like the P-09 as much as I like this Model 14.

I'm at about 1200rds p07 and 550rds p09. Like them both. Bitched about the p07 trigger at first (and if I have a chance, I will install 09 on 07), but I am now accostumed to it.

What is the difference in the triggers of the P07 and P09?  I thought they both had the Omega trigger.

About a year ago I sold a SP01 Tactical because it was an overall bigger gun than I like.  I'm not that big and have small hands.  It was my first CZ and it just felt like a great big gun.

I live in the country where I can shoot in the yard.  The man that bought my CZ Tactical brought his P07 to let me shoot.  I only ran a mag or two through it and shot it as well or better than I do Glocks, which sort of surprised me for the first time to shoot it.  Being an admitted Glock-a-holic with no plans to enter any twelve step programs I really liked his P07.

Anyway I just traded for this P09.  So far I have shot it fairly well.  I just wish the single action creep was shorter by about a millimeter or two.  I thought I remembered that man's P07 having a slightly shorter single action creep.  Maybe he had done something to it.

Man I'm sorry you're underwhelmed with yours

I absolutely love both my P07 & my new P09

I also own a few S&W M&P's.

I think you may like the M&P

Good luck on your "quest"

I like mine feels great BUT the front of the slide has a lot of verticle play the mags will not drop free and the mags hit the mag drop bar and last but not least when putting in a full mag the case hits the decocker bar.lol im done complaning
